A Romney/Whitman ticket is the pipe dream of the Beltway RINO crowd and nobody else. Every winning Republican ticket has had to include a conservative paired with a RINO. The last successful exception to this rule was the Eisenhower-Nixon tickets of 1952 and 1956. But even then, Nixon was running as a conservative.
The one thing I can say for both Romney and Whitman is that they were successful CEO's, unlike Fiorna, who was an affirmative action hire for HP. What slogan is she going to run on? "Not Quite as Dumb as Barbara Boxer"?

I assume the people still have a vote, unlike the rigged 2008 NH primary.
As far as I am concerned NH and Iowa primaries mean nothing at all.

What is this? Soon we are going to have either RINOS or PaulBots as Govs of our states? That’s like voting for liberals. Change, what change? This is not what we want and these people know it.
Watch who your Sec of States are.

“Furthermore, Whitman supposedly harbors national ambitions, perhaps as 2012 vice presidential running mate with Mitt Romney, her business mentor and current supporter.”
This woman is delusional. If, God forbid, Mitt Romney somehow can buy himself the presidential nomination despite his lack of appeal among conservatives, there is no way that he’d be stupid enough to choose as his VP candidate someone well to the left of him.

If the RINOs win in California, there will be one upside. Since an R won in this blue state, the Dems won’t be able to take California for granted in 2012. They will have to spend time and money there to try to keep the electoral votes. They will be spread really thin.
There will probably be 200 solid electoral votes in red states where the Republican candidate and the GOP will spend very little time and money. Just appearances with state GOP candidates to help their campaigns.
