Three unarmed security guards stood by and watched...

So..guards..is not really in their job description. Perhaps..Phone holders..more apply describes their duties.

Typical liberal-land “guards”, cowards all, regardless of “policy”. I’d own a piece of those “guards” and their company if that were my daughter. We have become a nation of pansies.

Cowards. Per the tv video I saw Olympic Security Services is the company that hired these "security" officers. Ha. If you feel like dropping them a line here you go:

It’s not just the security guards. Remember the Seattle Mardis Gras race riots a few years back? Seattle police were ordered to stand by and do nothing as about 100 black rioters beat the hell out of anyone they could get their hands on, successfully killing a young man while they were at it. Former Seattle Police Chief (and now Obama Drug Czar) Gil Kerlikowske will forever have Christopher Kime’s blood on his hands.

I remember hearing a story from back in the 90s or late 80s. If anyone remembers exactly what happened, please correct me. But this is how I think it all transpired.

In Seattle, a group of gang bangers had harassed a couple of Ft. Lewis soldiers one weekend. The following weekend, and for the next couple of months or so, Rangers from Lewis began patrolling the streets of Seattle, a sort of informal Guardian Angels. When some smart-assed TV reporter asked one of them what made them any different from the gang slime, he replied "We're Rangers...we hit our targets!"

It may be time for our best and toughest to start patrolling the streets again.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

If that’s all that they are going to do, fire the security guards and hire someone to watch the surveillance video. If they see an incident, they can call the police.

What they are currently doing is a fraud, giving the public the false impression that they are actually providing security.

Couldn’t they at least have dialed 911 and gotten somebody to come and take the report?

This makes me sick.

I was having a coffee with my wife while stopping during a bike ride in the international district of Seattle a few years back when we saw a kid (about 16 years old) run around a corner as fast as he could. About eight kids followed and I saw them, across a parking lot, catch him and start beating the living sh&& out of him. I ran over and started pulling the thugs off (the whole lot, including the victim, were Asian, btw.). A taxi driver also stopped and helped.

The kids all backed off and let the kid go.

These guards are proven worthless, thanks to this video that other thugs have now seen.

I’m speechless. Well, NOW I’m speechless. ;)

Michael Medved was ranting about mass transit in Seattle, and he cited a statistic that the light rail cost approximately $140 per passenger.

Apparently, these security guards' salaries are part of that cost. And it should go up when you factor in the amount of damages from the lawsuit.

In other words, they’re collecting a salary for just being there. No actually expected to actually DO anything.

It’s a horrible policy, but until we manage to effect MAJOR changes in or legal system, this will continue to be the norm for security guards, store clerks, delivery people, etc. If they’re authorized to take action while on duty, the employer (in this case the taxpayers) is automatically liable for any injuries (or death) to the employee and to any bystanders, or attackers who claim they weren’t really attackers but were trying to stop the attack. This can get into millions of dollars per incident. The only defense an employer, such as a police department, has is to be able to prove that they put the employees through extensive training and screening. This is not economically feasible for low-wage jobs that are commonly held on a short-term basis.
