Obama never speaks of “victory” — his only goal is to “end” the war.

A Watergate-damaged Nixon administration was unable to honor its commitment to use U.S. airpower to stop renewed Communist aggression.
Because of Democrat obstruction, I would note.

It’s true that there is no single person to surrender on behalf of the extremist Moose, however we can keep the Moose off balance and teach them (if we dare) that significant acts of aggression will cost them territory.

- "The first condition of victory: Due to offensive operations in the Middle East and defensive measures at home, it would become almost impossible for an individual or small cadre to pull off another 9/11.
- Second condition: Middle East governments would no longer wish to aid and abet Islamic terrorists.
- Third: Radical Islam would become less successful at channeling Middle Eastern discontents into anti-Western terrorism.
DannyTN's Conditions of Victory
- First, State sponsors of terrorism are eliminated. We have eliminated Afghanistan and Iraq. We need to eliminate Iran and Syria.
- Second, Religious sponsors of terrorism are eliminated. Although the tide seems to have turned against Osama and Al Quaida, it's because of the failure and loss of Muslim life, not because of an internal change in attitude. We need to spy on Mosques and Madras and identify, expose and eliminate terrorism schools.
- Third, Religious freedom is respected in the middle east.
- We need an active propaganda campaign for human rights.
- We need to eliminate governments that don't respect religious freedoms and have different laws for Muslims than Christians or Jews.
- We need to seriously arm Christians and provide intelligence information anywhere there is a Muslim war.
- We need to push for public religious debate in the middle east because Islam wouldn't survive it.
- Fourth, every state and every major religious organization in the Middle east recognize Israel's right to exist.
- Fifth, The so-called palistinian refugees are absorbed by middle eastern countries, preferably as far away from Israel as possible.
- Sixth, the Islamic bomb and know how ceases to exist.

"We are slowly achieving it; the enemy is not"
Correct on most points. The only caveat is Iran. Hanson rightly states that the US could stop them easily, and if we don't it will be because we chose not to, not because we can't.
But if Iran gets nukes and we do nothing to stop it, then the enemy will have achieved a significant operational victory, and one that will be hard to counteract later on. The bill for it may be very high.
