Some baffling comments by President Obama in today's press conference.
Asked how how and why small business loans would help small business, President Obama replied:
"If [small businesses] can get the bank loans to boost their payroll... they will do so." He further claimed that in his "travels" he has spoken with small business owners nationwide, and they see optimism and new customers.
I'm curious where these travels took him? A land inhabited with a fairy, children, and a flying boy in a green suit?

Obama lacks any sense.
Obama is a perfect example of something common in his generation, and frankly I have seen it in blacks, whites, republicans and democrats.
It is the desire to mouth off glibly on every subject, to demand attention and be applauded for pretending you know what you are talking about, without any hard work or study.
I’m on the board of a local community organization. I can work on an issue all month, arrive at the meeting and when someone asks a question the other members - who know nothing about what is going on - line up to “answer” the question. They just make it up as they go along.
Barry is spending too much time in that 57th state.
Unfortunately, he believes he knows everything.
It is the height of ignorance.
yeah, borrow now to cover future expanded payroll costs in a stagnant and uncertain economy == that’s how every good business operates!
btw, I saw a chart recently (can’t remember which website) which showed the percentage of senior appointments (Cabinet, etc.) who had any significant business/pvt sector experience. The Obambi admin. was by FAR the lowest, even much lower than Carter or Clinton, under 10%!!
Even Carter and Clinton managed something more in the range of 40% (although of course many ultra-liberal types). But Obambi has under 10% of his senior apptmts. with ANY pvt sector experience! No wonder he and his staff can fantasize about millions of jobs to be added based upon small businesses adding debt.
Obama's Lack of Business Sense

Sounds right. Yahoo Answers is a another great example. The best answer is selected by the asker or by vote. In other words — feelings determine the value of PI.
Sure seems as though his administration is a frequent visitor to the state of confusion.
It is the perfect example of social promotion policies such as racially adjusted test scores and admissions selection processes and affirmative action.
Diversity and “feeling” replace scholarship and expertise.
Between our MD Gov. and the US President, they are both so stupid as far has how buiness works, many companies are going to close.
Here’s MD’s plan, if you hire a full time employee ($20,000) in wages, and then pay SS, MD, WC and unemployment taxes which boosts you way over that, then on your taxes next year the Gov, will give you a $3,000. tax break - Go figure - spend $20,000+ to get $3,000 back.

So let me get this, small companies are going to borrow money just to pay people?
I thought everything started with the sale, that it was scheduled with business income.
So... how do these loans get paid back? OR are they going to be forgivable government “obama out of business” grants?
