Sorry to be a wet blanket, but someone has to do it.
The Miss Me Yet? billboard (inspired by Jonathan Maneys t-shirts) is cute. But lets not get carried away with nostalgia.
President Bush put America on the proper war footing after 9/11 and deserves much credit for doing so, but he also:
1) joined with open-borders progressives McCain and Kennedy to try to force shamnesty down our throats;
2) massively expanded the federal role in education;
3) championed the Medicare prescription drug entitlement using phony math;
4) kowtowed to the jihadi-enabling Saudis;
5) stocked DHS with incompetents and cronies;
6) pushed Hillarycare for housing;
7) enabled turncoat Arlen Specter;
8. nominated crony Harriet Myers to the Supreme Court;
9) pre-socialized the economy for Obama by embracing TARP, the auto bailouts, the AIG bailout, and in his own words:
Ive abandoned free-market principles to save the free-market system. George W. Bush
No, I dont miss having a corporate socialist Republican in the White House any more than I like having a corporate socialist Democrat in the White House now.
What is your factual basis for that assertion?
This is what is known as an opinion. I know that shocks the conscience to have an opinion on an opinion board but there you have it nonetheless.
Oh of course it’s an opinion, and thanks for helping build the case that the babbling nonsense out of the BushBot in question in that post #228 was based on nothing factual, no evidence to back up their ‘opinion’ and is absolutely worthless.
NEXT!
Is that some kind of a declaration on your intellect or time for your diaper change?
When he became President I think he thought it was more important to impress his daddy than to stick with the principals that made him a good governor of Texas.
Sums up how I feel. I think he had it in him to be one of the great presidents. Of course, it wasn't his wish that 9/11 happened, and for better or worse how we reacted is his legacy. It kind of crowded everything else out.
I'm getting pretty sick and tired of that one. Muslim snipers, attack on El Al airlines in LA, muslims killing Jews, muslims running over people, muslims shooting people in theatres, muslim honor killings, etc, etc...and yes...all before the Kenyan held office.
Shut up, Michelle. GW Bush was a better President than you could ever be.
“LOL. You understand that your list of complaints is dwarfed by the conservative accomplishments by Bush while in office, right?”
You do realize that you include a number of those complaints as “conservative accomplishments”. Too many of the rest are small compared to the additional debt, government expansion, and failure to adequately defend the United States. Those are fundamental failures.
i prefer to say 'dont play with yer food' [thanks squantos]...makes it tougher and stringy...
at least this thread had some really cool charts...
i'll sign AWB II if it gets to my desk & actually signing juan-feingold while 'expecting' the supremes to kill it were unforgivable, untill 9-11 and jFNkerry [who served in vietnam] saved GWB from going full bore globalist...
no more rinos-FUBO and the wookie ya rode in on-LFOD...
“Are you a Christian Kosovo zealot?”
Are you a supporter of Al Qaeda?
“Shut up, Michelle. GW Bush was a better President than you could ever be.”
You have proof that Malkin is, at heart, a liberal?
rabscuttle385, Is that you Ron Paul?
You party groupies have now stooped to, "Bush was better than Obama."
That's pretty sad Mr. Ohio Bush fan.
Oh Gezzzz...I just saw this on your profile ditty... I suggest you get help.
Nah. They frowned on supporting Americas enemies in the US Army.
But I found it amusing that he accused the other poster of being a zealot while exhibitng a bit of zealotry on behalf of folks in Kosovo.
You don't find that amusing?
“Nah. They frowned on supporting Americas enemies in the US Army.”
Just who do you think the KLA is?
“You don’t find that amusing?”
I don’t find supporting Muslim terrorists against Christians amusing, but I’m not in the State Department, the Senate, or the White House.
Bush made mistakes certainly. You claimed he was evil. That makes you an idiot.
As to the "smallness" of certain Bush accomplishments that's a matter of uninformed opinion.
His killing of Kyoto saved Americans hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars. His tax cuts spurred economic growth and put money in your pocket. His security policies saved innocent American lives. His anti abortion stance saved countless more.
But let me ask you this. Did you ever support Bush and if so when did you abandon him?
Good, so you supported Bush killing them throughout his term?
It's all I need, you're not exactly Stephen Douglas.
