The “Miss Me Yet?” billboard (inspired by Jonathan Maney’s t-shirts) is cute. But let’s not get carried away with nostalgia.
President Bush put America on the proper war footing after 9/11 and deserves much credit for doing so, but he also:
1) joined with open-borders progressives McCain and Kennedy to try to force shamnesty down our throats;
2) massively expanded the federal role in education;
3) championed the Medicare prescription drug entitlement using phony math;
4) kowtowed to the jihadi-enabling Saudis;
5) stocked DHS with incompetents and cronies;
6) pushed Hillarycare for housing;
7) enabled turncoat Arlen Specter;
8. nominated crony Harriet Myers to the Supreme Court;
9) pre-socialized the economy for Obama by embracing TARP, the auto bailouts, the AIG bailout, and in his own words:
“I’ve abandoned free-market principles to save the free-market system.” – George W. Bush
No, I don’t miss having a corporate socialist Republican in the White House any more than I like having a corporate socialist Democrat in the White House now.
I don’t agree with MM on everything, and she’s entitled to her opinions. However, GWB was a thousand times better than what we now have in office, and what we had previous to his administration.

This one I thought Bush was right on. Where did the terror stuff come from? Neil Cavuto and even Rush questioned demonizing Dubai over this. Why would they support terrorism when they are trying to expand a world wide port business? It never made sense, I thought this was a lynch mob set off by Chuck Schumer , Savage and Levin. Reagan was the last President who was not a socialist. GHWB, WJC, AND GWB all allowed the full-bore socialism infestation that Soetoro/Obama and his myrmidons are instituting by law - just as Lenin, Mao, and Hitler did in the last century.

To be honest you'd have to retract that statement.
To wit:
* A reduction of individual income tax rates from 15, 28, 31, 36, and 39.6 percent to 10, 15, 25, 28, 33, and 35 percent;
* An increase in the child tax credit from $500 to $1,000;
* A phased-in reduction in estate taxes, and a one-year repeal in 2010;
* A big expansion of tax-favored retirement savings plans.
