I was totally thrilled and grateful to receive a press pass from the Perry campaign for the Governor's Super Sunday event February 7th in Cypress, TX, featuring the inimitable Sarah Palin.
It was like attending a rock concert what with the thousands in a line that wrapped around the huge Berry Center, Ted Nugent performing the anthem, and the press's flashbulbs everywhere.
Sarah Palin did not disappoint and not only thrilled the crowd but did it in a kickin' pair of boots. (That's my girl.) Perry ended it by awarding Palin honorary Texan status... which makes perfect sense.

Go Debra Go!
I don’t like Rick or Kay. I hope Rick and Debra make it to a run-off.
Lucky!!
I am pulling for Kay Bailey but my husband, a blue dog democrat, really likes Medina.
Bump
Thanks for the report.
Heard last night that there were six to seven thousand people at the rally.
Very disappointed to learn of Gov. Palin’s endorsement of Gov. Perry.
Gov. Perry has talked a good game lately, but after the Gardasil fiasco I just don’t trust the guy. As for Sen. Kay, well, her record precedes her — she’s a big-spending, big-government countryclub Republican, barely better than a RINO.
However, both Gov. Rick and Sen. Kay have performed a useful service in the run-up to the primary. Both have purchased an enormous amount of media that accurately conveys the other’s positions on the issues and political track record.
The decision for real Republicans is clear: DEBRA MEDINA.
You betcha!
Kay has spent too long in DC for me to support her.
How about Bill White, hasn’t he spent too much time in DC too, when he worked for Bill Clinton?
Bill White would lose to a stray dog in November.
heh.
I certainly hope so. But the top donors in the state are Democrat Trial Lawyers.
John O’Quinn is dead but I wonder if he didn’t already give to his campaign.
I certainly understand why some people feel that way. But I am a long time admirer of Kay Bailey’s. I live in San Antonio and she has done so much for our military bases first and foremost. And to decide between Kay Bailey and Perry...Kay Bailey is an easy choice for me. That is not to say I do not understand your concern.
Outstanding !
I believe Palin and Perry have been pals for some time. This could be a personal thing for her.
Yeah... thanks ... =) ... but what I'm really lucky for is that we have a Governor with a great staff, who is very accessible, and who really respects and appreciates alternative media.
It was delightful to be able to get such close access to her... but it was a madhouse!
