BBC Ex-USSR: Iran aiming to provoke regional military conflict - Russian exper 91) ☆ By enriching uranium to a higher grade, Iran is embarking on a deliberate course of provoking a military conflict in the Middle East due to its unstable domestic situation, Aleksey Arbatov, head of the International Security Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Institute of World Economy and International Relations, said in a live interview to Russian Defence Ministry-controlled Zvezda TV on 9 February. He also said that Tehran will suddenly announce it has developed a nuclear weapon, and noted that 20 per cent-grade uranium was sufficient to develop a primitive but functioning nuclear device. On 9 February Iran announced that it had started enriching uranium to
Agreed, technical expertise may not have been the best hoice of words... Im sure they have the knowhow, maybe the word is industrial infastructure... enriching Uranium to 20% is one thing. enriching to around 85% is another thing, but if the could enrich to above 80% or so, building a “gun-type” bomb becomes quite trivial as I’m sure you know....
I think their access to high-grade fissile material is not where it needs to be, but I agree with you that it will be eventually... they still seem pretty far off though... putting out an anouncement that they are finally “enrishing uranium to 20% percent” doesn’t have me hiding in a bomb shelter just yet.... they have quite a ways to go.
:’D Nice thing for Moslems — no matter how stupid their mistakes, they can always cook up some conspiracy to blame it on. :’)
:’)
Thanks for the heads up!

Iran to conduct a nuclear weapons test on/before 31 Dec 2010
This contract will settle (expire) at 100 ($10.00) if Iran conducts a nuclear weapons test before midday ET on the date specified in the contract. |
Give the kid a break -g- she’s a relative newbie
Several have asked me what I think will happen on Feb 11th, here is Alan’s opinion, which I share

Yes I heard that on the news today..I think you
re right on that..but maybe someone knows for certain.
I expect nothing to happen. Nothing dramatic, probably just some BS statement from nutjob.
Thanks for the heads up.
Knew most of what he stated, but a little surprised on a few points.
All of what he described is “possible” technologically.
With any other Commander in Chief, Iran would be held accoutable for their actions.
I remember the “joke” after Reagan was elected. “What is flat & black & glows in the dark?” Answer- Iran after the inauguration. They oddly released our hostages when he was iaugurated.
...... with your tagline...
I appreciate your links but this one is horrifying.... we know they are cruel and ruthless.
Many will say this is simply more puff & smoke from Iran....as before......but I wonder.
...I guess we will know tomorrow.

>>> "Some estimated 40,000 Islamist suicide bombers have been gathered in the USA over the past 15-years, newly trained ones have been entering under a variety of visas in a steady flow during the last few years and are waiting instructins to deploy.
Targets will include as many soft targets as can be reached with the most terrifying...." <<<
I was aware that there are sleeper cells all across our country, but I had no idea that those in the know estimate that there are approximately 30,000 deep cover individuals ready to be awakened for Jihad.
So, it’s time to make sure we’ve got an extra set of points and distributor for those with old cars. They would be best stored in the microwave?

HERE is just one small snippet of just one possible scenario, just for a small example:

Is that like the advice to put stuff into a Faraday Cage?
Do you really believe that Iran could pull off a major EMP in America?
There's a book called ONE SECOND AFTER which is about the aftermath of an EMP, and also there is a series by a Christian author called, the Restoration Series with titles like: LAST LIGHT, NEW LIGHT, DAWNS LIGHT, etc.... which is about what happens after a globalwide solar EMP.
I’ll make a prediction folks:
February 11th will come and go, and the only thing we’re going to see or hear is the same big talking lies from the mouth of the little runt we’ve been dealing with for a while now, nothing is going to change, and the media will quote and regurgitate the regime’s propaganda as they always do.
But so much for 0bama, Ahmadinejad is the same asshat he’s always been and at the end of the week everyone will have forgotten about his latest babblings as well.
I sincerely hope you are right.
Prudence dictates that one consider their enemies’ intentions when considering their capabilities. 20% enrichment of uranium is a step along the way toward producing fissile material. Any weapon design that has any prayer of working will require fuel enriched much higher than 20%, as far as we know, none of us being experts on weapons design, and if we were, we certainly could not talk about it here.
In any case, there is absolutely no need for the Iranians to produce this kind of material that does not involve some sort of weapons application. The nuclear research reactor that they claim to need for producing medical isotopes is ancient, and it would be much cheaper for them to just buy those isotopes on the open market. Likewise Iran does not need nuclear power for generation of electricity, since they are sitting on trillions of cubic feet of natural gas reserves right in their own country.
An EMP attack is a possibility, again, there is that “capability” thing. Some of the missiles that Iran has been testing over the past couple of years have appeared to have been remarkably similar to what an EMP attack profile would look like. The likelihood of such an attack is anyone’s guess, and depends on too many factors to be able to pin that down definitively either.
This does not look good and it is troubling to consider where all of this is going, but there is no need to hit the bomb shelters just yet. If you have a plan, stick with it and keep on track with your own prepping. Time is your friend, so use it wisely.
Urgent.
to alert you to a posting about February 11th and what the possibilities are; please DON'T miss this link from FARS:

To All: I'll be away from the computer most of the day, would someone please ping...
Crap. Might as well stay in bed all day tomorrow and catch up on my DVR recordings. :-)
Or maybe I will move to the storm drain under that Ga red clay.
