It's only been a year since a helicopter flew him out of the capital right after the inauguration of President Barack Obama. But some Americans will be pleased to know that George W. Bush is out there, watching over them after all. From a billboard, high above Interstate Highway 35 near Wyoming, Minn., to be exact. And he wants to know if you miss him.

Someone has placed a giant photo of the former president on a billboard with the question, "Miss Me Yet?"

Until now, the billboard was thought to be a hoax, a clever doctoring of an image perhaps, meant to whip up anti-Obama sentiments in the blogosphere. But by Monday, it was clear: No one seems to know who put it there or why, but the "Miss Me Yet?" billboard is real.

This is hilarious! I wish we could put one up right outside Atlanta on I-85! Or better yet on I-485 on the “Cynthia McKinney” stretch!

I am ROTFLMAO!

This might help in Texas and other red states but keep it out of Oregon.

We’ve got years of damage repair to the Republican name to undo here.

Hey! I live in Portland and I’d love to see one alongside I-5 between Portland and Salem. No war was ever won by defensive measures. Let’s take it to ‘em!

“This might help in Texas and other red states but keep it out of Oregon.”

Oh come on. If I can find the nerve to drive around Seattle with a Palin 2012 bumper sticker, we can consider this one in teh Northwest. Oh, and have you been up I5 near Centrailia? For many years the guy that owns this sign has been tweaking the noses of Washington Lefties

What is even better is the fact George W. Bush heard about Fort Hood, got
in his car without any escort, apparently they did not have time to react,
and drove to Fort Hood. He was stopped at the gate and the guard could
not believe who he had just stopped. Bush only ask for directions to the
hospital then drove on. The gate guard called that “The president Is on
Fort Hood and driving to the hospital.” The base went bananas looking for
Obama. When they found it was Bush they immediately offered escort and
Bush simply told them to shut up and let him visit the wounded and the
dependents of the dead. He stayed at Fort Hood for over six hours and was
finally asked to leave by a message from the White House. Obama flew in
days later and held a “photo “ session in a gym and did not even go to the
hospital. All this I picked up from two soldiers here who happened to be at
Fort Hood when it happened.

I don't understand the distinction. If you Photoshop a picture of George W Bush with the caption "Miss Me Yet", then it's a "hoax", but if you print the picture and paste it to a billboard, then it's "real"?

Does that mean that any 'news article' which appears on, say, AOL is a 'hoax' unless someone prints it in a physical magazine?

At this point, I miss the quiet competent statesmanship of Jimmy Carter.

I don’t miss Bush’s domestic spending at all. Obama billboards would be cool though.

"This might help in Texas and other red states but keep it out of Oregon. We’ve got years of damage repair to the Republican name to undo here."

And all contrived by the media and believed by those watching. Republican Congress ran a surplus from 1998 - 2001. Last Republican budget was FY2007 with only a $160 billion dollar deficit and the trend was decreasing.

love it!

It would be great to have more of those all over....

I’d like to see some Ronald Reagan versions too, all over the country!!

The Reagan ones should have a different theme, maybe a good quote about what’s best about America

oh, and for some mockery of Democrats, how about some billboards showing Bill Clinton with the quote “A few years ago he would have been serving us coffee” Oh, my, that would sting!! The libs would be in a meltdown, and any citizens who did not already know what it referred to would quickly find out!! So much for Demagogues as the party of political correctness....
