cigarette smoke stinks!

Do does the unconstitutional couple of hundred million$ that the smokers have paid in new taxes for for decades now, which was supposed to cover smoke related illnesses and education, but have been spent for community activism, welfare for the welfare subclass, and general fund expenditures.

Your point?

Life isn't fair, and it's getting unfairer every day, in case you haven't noticed.

This will necessitate shooting smokers on sight....it’s the only way and of course, its for the children.

I take it you've never read the book, SmokeJumpers?"

I keep hoping that someday someone will make a hilarious movie based on that book...

Is that picture rated X?

Ever watched the series Burn Notice where the actress from Cagney and Lacey (Can't remember which) plays the mother of the main character?

Smoking on screen is apparently no longer considered a capital offense.

If they're still alive by the time I finish my cigarette, they win.

You lose.
Nothing in the bet precludes wearing a gas mask.

just saying.

Once, when I went to visit a friend, the first thing she did after I unpacked was spray Febreeze into my suitcase.

Over the years, even after I quit smoking I lost a few "friends;" those who warned me about not smoking in their house assuming that I had neither the brains nor the courtesy to know other people's homes, specially non-smokers' should be respected.
Or those who forbad smoking outdoors on their property.

Life is too short.

marine one, airforce one and limos’ for the president is creating pollution that also kills.

I am still kicking myself, having lost the opportunity to document the stupidity of arrogance in DC, a town typical of the smoking neurotic.

A week after the inauguration of the "Great Uniter," (I postponed my trip to miss the circus) I was in DC/Virginia for a family visit.

The weather was bad. Not as bad as this year, but the "worst snow in 15 years."
Walking from Union Station towards the Capitol, we came across 15 ( fifteen! ) black Chevy Suburbans, all in a row, like the KGB headquartes, totally unattended and all with their engines running. And so they remained for the half hour that we were in the vicinity before heading on towards the Library of Congress.

I wonder how many cigrettes one would have to smoke to generate the equivalent amount of toxic substances?

I wonder what these morons do if they drive to New York, where that practice is a crime?
Do they get special dispensation?
What?

Or like when someone falls asleep in bed with a lit cigarette and catches fire to the bed and stuff?

No doofus!

More like when I walk into a department store or a restaurant with my fake plastic cigarette, and the neurotic nut jobs start fainting dead away...

( I am easily amused.)

Sharon Gless (she also played Carole Lombard in a TV movie; Streisand’s live-in played Gable—obviously due to his ear-size). It’s because she’s a post-menopausal Miami widow and typical of the unenlightened generation.

>.they will be applauded by some FReepers

Tobacco has the ability to force some to cease seeing beyond the tips of their noses.

It is surprising that they do not see the ramifications of our collective surrender to placing the concept of health on a pedestal above all else - the right to assembly, gather with like minded individuals, not to be taxed excessively, some amount of individual liberty.

But we have made the collective health our new god(s).

We will also get hurt by the coming restrictions on all aspects of our life, but, toughened by the recent experience, will smile, chuckle and laugh.

The way I do now at the outrage expressed at the new green taxes and associated diktats being promulgated or in the works - mileage fees, food taxes, dietary restrictions etc. etc.

Its already getting to be too late to stop the JuggerNannyNaut.

And then many will wonder, how did we get here?

Schadenfreude. It’s your line to sanity.

Ha!

You can't remember whether she was Cagney or Lacey either?

Sorry—she was Cagney. I liked the early episodes, before it got preachy.

Well, heavens to betsy, the only solution is ban the activity in all domiciles.

Not to mention in cars, public parks, common areas like pavements.

I dare some scientist (if there are any real ones left) to study those of us who really were exposed to copious quantities of second hand smoke - ALL US BABYBOOMERS!

I remember people smoking in the grocery stores, banks, restaurants, bars, hospitals...I think the only place you couldn't smoke was in elevators and movie theaters.

My mother, grandmother, neighbors, doctor, teachers, all smoked. As kids we were held hostage in cars while the adults smoked with the windows up! There were ashtrays throughout the house.

If second hand smoke is as deadly as they say, we should all be dead. It's a crock.
