I seem to feel as though, I am in the eye of the storm here and elsewhere. The local media didn't quite cover this story the same way as it now appears....what a surprise. The good news for all of us is that the pro-life groups in Madison are alive and thriving and growing. There really is a vibrant and active subculture here that honors life and lives under the radar screen. The fact that DHS is monitoring Madison is interesting. To be a pro-lifer in this town means that one has courage and moxy and fortitude....qualities that the current administration has no understanding or respect. They are cowards and on the wrong side and no amount of wrong on their part will ever correct or atone for their sins.

I’m assuming DHS has a local office there in Madison due to it being the Capitol, and a big university town. Too much time on this office’s hands, or do we know that the orders came down from above.

Is Madison for conservatives still like living in Berkely? I probably would’ve loved going there for school when I was still idealistic and outspoken, would NOT like living there now for the most part... Except if some of the awesome record stores were still there... :)

Have to say I am grateful for UW’s Medical System. They saved my Mom’s life back in 1988 when my Mom needed a kidney transplant so I support their educational and other efforts as a fine institution. This whole debacle over abortion put a black mark on their reputation for me, but with the liberals in our educational system it wasn’t surprising.

Also not surprising if it was the local DHS office looking at Americans vs. questionable college-age and other “subversive” individuals who might be here on student visas. I would think that would be more effective, and a better use of tax dollars!
