U.S. to Form Climate-Change Agency
The Wall St Journal ^ | Feb 9, 2010 | AP

WASHINGTON—The Obama administration on Monday proposed a new agency to study and report on the changing climate.

Also known as global warming, climate change has drawn widespread concern in recent years as temperatures around the world rise, threatening to harm crops, spread disease, increase sea levels, change storm and drought patterns and cause polar melting.

Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and Jane Lubchenco, head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, announced NOAA will set up the new Climate Service to operate in tandem with NOAA's National Weather Service and National Ocean Service.

"Whether we like it or not, climate change represents a real threat," Mr. Locke said Monday at a news conference.

Ms. Lubchenco added, "Climate change is real, it's happening now." She said climate information is vital to the wind power industry, coastal community planning, fishermen and fishery managers, farmers and public-health officials

Climate change is happening, it’s called weather, and for the most part it is not manmade. There may be some local phenomenon such as the heat near large concrete complexes which are obviously manmade but global anything caused by man is a myth.

Never thought I’d see the day, but the Wall Street Journal has become part of the “idiot’s parade”. All this crap was disclosed as a fraud—every news source in the world, but those in the US, have exposed the data was fabricated, glaciers are not melting, etc. Hey, dumb###es, we get climate change four times a year!

Although I started it as documentation of the ClimateGate Swindle, I have plenty about The Coming Ice Age, err, Global Warming, err, Climate Change, err, what we used to call

"having weather", too--

--click the picture, goto the last "page," and scroll back:

"Hadley CRU has apparently been hacked –[epic fraud?]"

Click the picture:

And yes, it is a swindle- a fraud and a cheat and a scam-- a deliberately designed construct intended to con you out of things you hold dear-- money, and prosperity, and freedom... and a few other things, as well.

“Commerce Secretary Gary Locke...” was a complete zero as governor of Washington. May he continue his pattern at the federal level.

There's an article in today's Wash Times which blames the cold and snow on Global Warming.

Global Warming Brings Wacky Winter Weather

When the temperatures started trending cooler...some lefty had the idea of changing 'global warming' to 'climate change' and then whatever happens they can control YOU, which they think there is too much of.

So are you gonna try to cool the planet some more ? Those white painted roofs in DC are doing a fabulous job. Hey, the sun is up to moderate activity at least for a few days. Are you gonna try to stop the sun from becoming more active ? Gee with a government like this, who needs enemies.

So, I wonder how many "skeptics" will get grants or jobs from this boondoggle?

My guess: ZERO

Unbelievable. The RATS are determined to bankrupt the country while paying off their friends. Follow the money (our money unfortunately).

Judging by the government’s decision to establish yet another layer of expensive and infuriating bureaucracy with the “new” Climate Service, a Department of Asstrology might be in the works. Perhaps the logo can depict Uranus in retrograde.

The “newspeak” adopted by the enviro-fascists enables them to claim any extreme weather condition as conforming to their predictions. Thus, even as the White House and Capitol dome are frozen under massive snow drifts, these fools insist on “global warming” (aka “climate change”) as the cause.

Meanwhile: the First Lady longs to control the diet of chubby school children; EPA says we exhale a toxic gas; Congress wants to judge your “viability” for various medical procedures; and my city garbage man scolds me for any sorting errors in the bins. Can it be long until a S.W.A.T team arrives to check all the mattress tags?

Obama’s Science Czar, John Holdren, predicted a catastrophic Ice Age back in 1971, in a textbook he co-authored with Paul Erlich, “Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment”. In the same book, he stated on pp. 839-840:

“The common law and drafters of the U.S. Constitution did not consider a fetus a human being. Feticide was not murder in common law because the fetus was not considered to be a human being, and for purposes of the Constitution a fetus is probably not a ‘person’ within the meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment. Thus under the constitution, abortion is apparently not unlawful, although infanticide obviously is...There has been considerable talk in some quarters at times of forcibly suppressing reproduction among welfare recipients (perhaps by requiring the use of contraceptives or even by involuntary sterilizations). This may sadly foreshadow what our society might do if the human predicament gets out of hand.” Would you like a nice Chianti with your soylent green?

As if this were not bad enough, the Obama administration has a deep bench of nanny-staters zealous to foist veganism, eugenics, sexual deviancy, and legal standing for primates upon the unwashed plebeians. Forgive me for this, but the Climate Service is just the “tip of the iceberg”.

We used to complain that when a problem was perceived the government formed a committee.

Now they form a committee to look at pipe dreams and fantasies.
