Would you never buy a book from the publisher of 1984 either because it showed a vision you don't like? Crazy.
It was a great commercial. It was genius in its ability to ridicule the greens. And this coming on the heels of Climategate. Wow!

Really weird mixed reaction to this ad,
all based on our own individual personal assumptions
on the
MOTIVES OF THE AD MAKERS.

It was a great commercial. It was genius in its ability to ridicule the greens.Judging by the mixed reaction on this, as well as other on-topic threads, I'd say they failed miserably to get this across (if this was truly their intention). If an add fails to get it's message across to the majority of viewers, as this one did, and if people have to purposely defend it, that's far from genius.

I thought it was funny too! I don't watch the super bowl ads for shopping ideas, I watch them for their humor and creativity.........

It was great use of ridicule to marginalize the kooky greenies. The subsequent squealing proves that it was extremely effective.
If you are catching flack, you are over the target.

Were they really ridiculing the greens? Or were they saying: “buy our car, we’re green”?
