Individuals that fake a MOH on their DD214 do so to get the perks afforded to the MOH recipients. I had one impersonator in my area that got a free license plate and a stipend from the State and many of we professionals gave him services gratis This was before the Internet and the ability to research the history of the MOH recipients. One of my first actions when I got the Internet was to research this mans heroic actions, only to find out he was a fraud. I turned the matter over to the FBI and a Federal Judge Biggers of North Mississippi let him off with a slap on the hand (Biggers is from a liberal draft dodging Democrat family of NE Mississippi). IMO these impersonators are fraudulent and deserve to lose their voting rights and punished because they are damaging to society with their dishonesty.
