I am sure your son will enjoy scouting.
I was a scout about 50 years ago and am active as an Assistant Scoutmaster today. Once change that I have noticed, very few boys are earning their God and Church awards (God and Country when I was a scout). If your son is so inclined, that may be something to work for as well as Eagle.
