I reckon it still gets shipped over.
If he has a good sponsor, he has temporary quarter waiting on him. His sponsor would meet Tx and his family at the airport with keys to the place, would stock the fridge with basics, and would give Tx instructions on how best to beat the jet lag.
I remember showing up at the airport in Frankfurt enroute to Augsburg - no sponsor - Nana and I were sent to a waiting bus with instructions to ask at the bus station in Augsburg for the number to the staff duty officer. Dragging two big suitcases through 6 inches of fresh snow was not fun.
Leaving office for home - ttyl!
One really would think that, at a minimum, the downtown DC area would be cleaned up. Glad your knee didn't have to suffer.

RodrigoBNO RT @CNNValencia: Doctors accidentally nicked #Murtha’s intestines causing his death, a source close to the late congressman has told CNN.
Oh, that’s awful, Jinxy! What a way to start a new life!
We had a very good sponsor and eventually moved into their apartment on the economy, as they were soon due to rotate. The husband picked us up, got our dogs out of the baggage, drove us and all our luggage to our base—Leighton Barracks—and helped us get into a great gasthaus. We were jetlagged and in culture shock and they were very good to us.
I hope TX has that kind of help!
Prayers for your safe journey!
Well....I don’t have to work in it. It is fairly level all the way to work (I can leave early and try to miss the crazy drivers), my snow thrower works well, I have 4-wheel drive. I grew up in southern California....fresh snow is beautiful.
Being prepared is a big plus. d:o)

Yikes! Hopefully he got the sponsor thing all worked out ahead of time.
Did anyone care that you didn’t have a sponsor...a lesson, too, for those that become sponsors.
Pictures for sure!
Good afternoon, MM...((HUGS))...how you fixed for snow? We got about 17” over the weekend.
