Come to the last page of the thread -- turns out that Chris Wallace did NOT state what the original post alleges he said.
He was on Don Imus's show, and dirty olde shock jock Imus asked him if he was going to have Governor Palin sit on his lap for the interview.
After apparently stammerring, Wallace finally managed to sputter, "One can only hope."
This is REALLY irritating, what is being discussed in this thread NEVER actually occurred....

Something thing he DID say in the interview to her was to "try really hard to be an analyst" (paraphrased), in response to his next question. She gave it right back by saying in her. . . I know what you're doing here way, “oh, I'll try”, or “I'll do my best”. Wallace has always been the most annoying guy on FN. Condescending.

My apologies to Chris Wallace......He deserves one if this is true......

After apparently stammerring, Wallace finally managed to sputter, "One can only hope." While it is certainly worth noting that Wallace didn't initiate the inappropriateness, Wallace could have given a more appropriate answer.
Perhaps he was caught off guard.

Thanks for posting the actual information, hennie pennie.
No need to be so worked up, however. Kind of a waste of emotional energy over something so insignificant, don't you think? :)
