I'm really starting to not like this type of hypersensitivity coming from our side. We should not seek to emulate the left in this regard. Sometimes a joke should just be left as a joke.
You do not give the enemy amunition. I agree with her.
I agree that it would have been a joke had he uttered it between friends off air. But working in a place where I have had to ask more than once not to be addressed by my employer(I am 15 years older than he) as “sweetie”, “honey”, “cutie”, and many others while the gentleman next to me is treated ALWAYS with the utmost respect and business conversation, I understand this dilemna. It goes the other way also though as I have had female supervisors who addressed me as ‘Stupid’ and the guy next to me as “Honey”(adding a tone that denoted ‘I want something from you). I just ask that you treat us all with respect in the workplace.
I think that is what Jeri Thompson is asking here. I don’t believe he would ponder out loud the idea of John McCain sitting on his lap.
If Sarah Palin felt offended I’m positive she’s a big enough person to request an apology from Wallace on her own. She doensn’t need someone to run interference for her.
As to you emulating the left with the lowbrow comment about being retarded, I didn't think it was funny. What I do find amusing is the fact that one of my ex inlaw's son, born with downs and now a young man with downs, has made more money in movies than you or I ever will.
Handicaps can be overcome with the right kind of support.
Heck, even asshats can learn, just most of 'em would ruther not.
Thompson is right. These kind of remarks feed into the image of Palin as a bimbo and an air head. These kind of “jokes” just chip away at Palin’s image.
