The only reason Jeri is Mrs. Fred Thompson is because of her looks. If she doesn’t think so, she is only kidding herself.
I have heard her talk on the “issues” and she really doesn’t do a particularly good job.
What have you been listening to? And where did you attain the inside information that Fred only married her for her looks? Are you a family friend?
(btw, welcome to FR. Less than a month. Interesting)
Jeri just happens to be drop dead gorgeous and about 25 years younger than Fred Thompson.
But you are right, it has nothing to do with her looks. :)
I agree, this is funny, not something to get our panties in an uproar.
This is what really angers me about modern feminazism. Women want to be all tough and aggressive and such and there's nothing wrong with that... but as soon as "boys act like boys" they throw out the whole "I'M A GIRL AND YOU CAN'T DO THAT" card. That's something no guy can get away with.
I’m with you...I thought the interview was very well done; Wallace let her talk and Sarah was at her very best...she hit the whole thing out of the park.
OH hennie pennie, you always incite these super long responses from me but here goes
agreed! 1) I appreciate Greta Van Susteren as well, especially w/ regard to how she’s treated Governor Palin from the very BEGINNING (since 2008!) 2) I am not a fan of Megyn Kelly. I admit partially because I haven’t seen her make a strong case for Palin, but also because she focuses on law/legal issues (which I find especially boring) and not political commentary. 3) More and more, I find myself liking Ann Coulter. For awhile I thought she was too redundant and only said things for attention, but the more I listen to what she says, the more I value her perspective and the meat and substance of her ideas. Whenever she’s been a guest, Coulter has always attested to the smarts and depth Palin has. 5) I also enjoy S.E. Cupp and her commentary. She’s on Hannity regularly and her ideas have depth, which other commentators sorely lack.
* Fox News used to have women anchors like Harris Faulkner and Uma Pemmaraju “break” the news. I always appreciated that because they brought a sense of “gravitas” and dare I say it—diversity, to the network. Love that Catherine Herridge is still on board as National Security Correspondent.
* Yeah, why does IMUS has his own TV show? I have no clue.
* I think some women, even conservative, successful women have an inferiority complex when it comes to Palin precisely because of what you stated: you can tell she didn’t just “sex herself up” to get to where she is nor did she abandon her femininity. She has CLASS. Moral integrity and moral clarity emanate from her. You can tell she’s not consumed with self-interest, but has actually devoted herself to the causes and needs of OTHERS. She has the attitude of a public SERVANT, while most people (even in public “service”) spend their careers thinking of how to promote themselves. Actually putting something above self is sadly a foreign concept to many, which is why Palin is such an enigma. People don’t get the fact that she GENUINELY cares about other things besides seeking the title of Presidency—that she will actually make her decision on how she believes she can best help serve others and contribute to the cause.
Of course I hope she runs. :)
Is there some reason you keep using the r word?
“Journalists” who cross the line should be called out on it!
There is a major distinction between message board posters who have a crush on Palin, libtards who will do everything they can to destroy her, and MSM reporters who can’t control their testosterone-driven urges while doing their job.
She doesn't.
She'll never be First Lady, much less president.
Oh I wasn’t advocating that Palin should do it, just that I do feel that Palin is discerning enough not to get her hackles raised about that sort of thing. She had an interview with him, took his measure in the pre-interview meetings. If she chooses to respond at all, it will be to make some type of Reaganesque quip that will bring a humorous balance to the episode and its effect on political discource!
Obviously you can't do that.
Mark’s post was not factual.
I didn’t hear Sarah complaining. Attention whore Jeri needs to find something else to keep her relevant.
Thanks for the heads up, ohiowfan!!
The left and the Dems have a thing for Palin. She invokes their fantasies.Let them play it out.
The Dems have a fatal attraction for Palin. Many will vote for her.
That is what this is about.
And if Fred wants to protect Sarah, good for him too. This is ALL good for Sarah publicity.
She is an unusual and a very special woman.
And especially you, pissant.
275 posts, and I have to come in and take care of business? I feel like I don't even know where I am anymore.
I agree that it would have been a joke had he uttered it between friends off air. But working in a place where I have had to ask more than once not to be addressed by my employer(I am 15 years older than he) as “sweetie”, “honey”, “cutie”, and many others while the gentleman next to me is treated ALWAYS with the utmost respect and business conversation, I understand this dilemna. It goes the other way also though as I have had female supervisors who addressed me as ‘Stupid’ and the guy next to me as “Honey”(adding a tone that denoted ‘I want something from you). I just ask that you treat us all with respect in the workplace.
I think that is what Jeri Thompson is asking here. I don’t believe he would ponder out loud the idea of John McCain sitting on his lap.
Has Todd punched out even one person yet? With all the anti Palin sentiment out there, seems he would be doing little else!
