So the Mohawks owned ALL THE LAND then were put on a Rez. Then the Rez was split up so Whites could expand in that area. Now they have a small fraction of their original land and God forbid, they want to keep that for themselves. Yep, sounds racist to me. By the way, some of you are using the word “America”, I believe Montreal is in Canada the last time I checked.

My family stopped skiing at Ski Apache in New Mexico years ago, because the natives that work there hate whites (but love our money). We were treated very shabbily on several occasions by ski patrol and staff. I won’t go to the casino owned by the Apaches, either (never went because I expect the same treatment). I have heard they treat white staff pretty poorly at the casino.

St. Lawrence Valley was not the original homeland of the Kanien’kehá:ka, who emerged south of there in present-day New York . Nor was it the homeland of the Iroquois nations, as had been theorized by some historians.

Instead, it was inhabited for centuries by a discrete Iroquoian -speaking people now called the St Lawrence Iroquoians . They lived in the valley as an identifiable people from the 1300s to the late 16th century, creating the villages of Stadacona, Hochelaga and others visited by explorer Cartier in the 1530s .

Evidence suggest they were driven from the valley or destroyed by attacks by the Kanien’kehá:ka, who wanted to control the fur trade and hunting in that area.

btw, Canada is the larger part of America.

And btw, It is Racist.

There are no Native Americans. Just an arguement over who got here first.

And to set the record straight - the “Native Americans” were not the first.
