Racist pricks.
Most of those “natives” look as pale face as me.
...hold the phone!....is this one of those things where the tribe splits up casino profits at the end of the year?...or money from tobacco sales maybe...if so, then the fewer people, the bigger the share for those remaining.
Housing segregation (racial, religious and ethnic) had been the practice “from time immemorial” in lots of US communities before the 60s. We as a people recognized it was wrong and got over it. End of debate.
It is still racist.
There are no native Americans - just an aguement over who got here first.
If they want to have the right of freedom of association, fine. I think they should have that right. I just don’t want to hear any whining from them if they are excluded by someone else.
If the Mohawks were really serious, they would be taking scalps. Where is their sense of historicity?
Frankly, when the pale faces have gone, their wampum needs to go also.
Well it’s their land, so they can do whatever they want. If some white person wanted to buy 500 acres of private land and say “No non-whites allowed”, they too would be well within their rights. The Constitution allows freedom of association and thereby non-association as well. Nothing to see here.
Not entirely true. One of my ancestors and his sisters were captured by Mohawks at Deerfield, Mass. in 1704 and taken to Kahnawake. My ancestor finally left after 12 years or so but his sisters stayed and married into the tribe. Their descendants live there to this day. It wasn't unusual for Eastern tribes to capture white settlers and integrate them into the tribe to replace relatives who had died.
So was scalping, in fact lots of things were customary.

Setting the Record Straight About Native Peoples: American Indian CannibalsCannibalism should not be considered part of American Indian culture on this account any more than it would be considered part of European or American culture--it was culturally unacceptable behavior. The Sioux considered cannibalism a sin, the Cree considered it a mental illness, the Algonquin and Ojibwe considered it a sign of possession by an evil spirit. In almost all cases, American Indian cannibals--just like European or American cannibals--were put to death as soon as they were discovered....It's been suggested that the pre-Iroquois Mohawk and the ancient Anasazi may have practiced group cannibalism. This is possible, though it has not been proven. The Mohawk were called "man-eaters" by their Algonquian enemies on account of this belief about their lurid past. Some Mohawks think it was probably true, others that you shouldn't give too much credence to slurs people's enemies cast at their ancestors.
Guess they're lucky they're being given a chance to leave.
They’re throwing away their diversity a source of strength.
So, two Mohawk women were working in their garden.....one of them pulls up a giant carrot and says to the other “Dis....Dis remind me of my husband”
The other says “Why because it is so big?”
The first says “No, it’s because it is so dirty”
Hey, free whiskey to the first 5 Natives to stand up for a paleface....
Thank you....thankyouverymuch......

Not enough buffalo to go around this year?
Here's the thing. Either this applies equally across the board, in other words we get to throw the Indians back on the Reservation, or is is racist and discrinatory. I don't care what the law says in regards to reservations, if the law doesn't include an equal clause for us to throw the Indians back onto Indian land then the 4th amendment is being violated and, yes, regardless of the law(remember Jim Crow laws)it is racist to do this.
It is past time to incorporate the Indian lands(the tribes would still own them)into the USA with the same laws applying to all Americans.
