Watch more in our web exclusive with Sarah Palin to find out why she's supporting her former presidential running mate Senator John McCain, who faces a serious primary challenge this year by former Arizona Congressman J.D. Hayworth. Many of you wanted to know why, since Hayworth is seen as more conservative -- so we asked her. Palin says "we need John McCain fighting for us" because he is "fighting harder for Americans today up against Obama's misguided policies" and she wants to see him re-elected. "I do support John McCain, and I would come out again in a heartbeat and say absolutely I support him."

While you're on this page, take the poll on the right side: "If the 2012 primary for president were held today, which of the following would you vote for?"
Sarah Palin
Mitt Romney
Dick Cheney
Newt Gingrich
Mike Huckabee
Tim Pawlenty
3 guesses who's winning, and the first three guesses don't count! ;-)

It was kind of a weak “endorsement”.

McCain must lose. Arizonians should quietly support Hayworth.
But no need to bash Sarah over this, this doesn't make her a RINO.
To: pillut48
If McCain did nothing else for us conservatives, he did introduce America to Sarah Palin.

Clearly, Sarahs support is reciprocity for McCains having tapped her for VP and elevating her to the national stage. Shes in a tough spot here and I dont envy her or hold it against her. I would hope, however, that her appearances for him would be as luke-warm as the McCain staff attacks on her during and after the campaign were vicious.

I still believe that 99% of her endorsement is simply because of loyalty to her friendship with McCain, and gratitude because of him choosing her in 2008 as his VP candidate.
Second best thing McCain EVER did for America.

I go with experience.
I go with Mitt Romney.
I guess I’m not a RINO either.

I think that when McPain loses the primary then Sarah will endorse the winner.

I would agree in that she did not address the issue of conservatism vs. her endorsement. Essentially all she did was tout his service to the country and was little more than a payback statement without any real conviction.
On a related note, JD’s official campaign site is up and running. http://www.jdforsenate.com/
