Good analysis, problem is these days that truth is only available on the web/talk radio or a certain few other places. The drivebys have never had to lie as much as they do now.

Good analysis.

From our standpoint, the worst case scenario for Sarah is that she does not run in 2012 because of DBM lies yet is able to get dozens of pubbies elected that other wise would not have been and raises millions of bucks for the cause.

We might not get her as potus but the benefits of having a Sarah Palin our our side are too good to estimate. And that's the worse case scenario!

Yes. Those hand notes of " energy, cut tax, lift America's spirits" were SO detailed.

Good grief, they are completely hysterical.

What fun!

General food for thought: WHY are immigrants drawn to the democrat party? Why not us?

I believe the answer goes back to the old democrat bosses of New York, who met immigrants coming off the boat and found them work and a place to live.

Of course today, democrats are more likely to show them how to get food stamps and other free stuff.

Why are WE not meeting immigrants and helping them find work and a place to live? (Legal ones.) And as far as illegals, we need to find a way to encourage them in their own country so that they stay there.

I am convinced there has to be a way to help Mexicans stay home and earn a decent living, and help legal immigrants here so that they don't fall into the democrat camp. I refuse to think that we are powerless to change this situation.

crime rate dropping to levels not seen since the 1960’s, even while the economy tanks. What was not discussed, is what impact the return of illegal aliens to their country of origin has on the crime rate.

Interesting point. Also connected is the explosion in gun-ownership.

She would have been a half-term gov if she had won the vp job, too. ... Obama: Senator in Name only! for a few years of campaigning for president.

Absolutely. Whenever I encounter a receptive response from people to whom I make my "Palin served 3/4ths of her "working" term and accomplished 90%" argument it usually gives me the opportunity to continue the conversation and raise these very same types of points. The key is to get them thinking for themselves and not just parroting media talking points.

Another tactic which I've found to be effective is to let them know that I haven't yet made a decision on whether or not I'd support Palin if she ran for President (which is the truth). That really rocks them back and usually prompts a question as to why I'm defending her so strongly. That gives me the opportunity to frame the issue in terms of being fed up with the lying and arrogance of the media and the DC political establishment and their efforts to treat me like a child and dictate to me what I'm supposed to think.

I then tell them, again truthfully, that my anger at being thus treated has made me determined to not take anything they say at face value but to do my own research and get the facts for myself. With regards to Palin, I simply tell them that my own research quickly showed that the media and the political insiders of both parties have lied about Palin, and that she deserves a fair hearing and a chance to prove herself. I tell them that I believe it's far too early to commit to any potential candidate, that it's impossible to know at this point what shape the country and the world will be in by 2012 (again, the truth). I then finish by saying that Palin will have to succeed or fail based on her own abilities and by what she does between now and then, but that I'm going to watch her, and the other contenders as well, and make my own decisions and not let the media pundits and other politicians dictate to me.

I've found that this indirect approach works far better than trying to "sell" Palin, and it has the benefit of being the truth. It is an uphill battle sometimes, however... /g

Once you see the system in action you wonder how we get any votes.

To begin with the welfare system is mostly based on deciet, lies and cheating, which is right up the dems alley. It's what they thrive on.

The system is gamed from evey angle and its a mystery to me how we have been able to afford all the abuses all these years without going bankrupt already.

Its all a sophisticated form of vote buying. Dems will give someone who has nothing basically everything in exchange for votes.

Problem is as we have stated before, buying votes is double edged sword since they have to be re-bought over and over and over.

Sooner or later the free market comes into play and those who can escape the corrupt system of govt. welfare usually desert the dems as well.

Don’t know if it exactly aligns with Mara Liasson, but I saw something interesting yesterday.

I was at a tea party in Sheboygan WI helping an R candidate. A woman walked up who (call me prejudiced) looked like a liberal. She walked up and said she really wanted to talk to our candidate. She said she had once been a member of the DNC but she was so angry about what was happening she wanted to help our candidate. This woman had plenty of stroke, she said she had been in the Chamber of Commerce, etc.

You know, you hear stories like this and you wonder if its real, but - wow. Its about ideas and its about freedom.

——Oh and happy birthday Ronaldus Maximus, you were there in spirit. ——

"Don’t blame Juan Williams....He’s just repeating the current Democrat talking points."

"That is his job. Passionately sell the lie."

You nailed it EddieO1! Did you note than Juan strongly attempted to establish Palin as the leader of the Tea Party?????

Juan called her the "queen" and specifically stated she was the "leader". Here's what I posted yesterday, and Juan validated my view today on Fox: [think about it, why else would Juan "boost" Palin?, he hates and fears her]

Yesterday's post:

My own belief is that the MSM wants a "leader" or "leaders" for the Tea Party so that they can utilize Alinsky's rule and 'Pick the Target [Tea Party movement], Freeze It [define it on MSM terms], Personalize It [assign a "leader" or "leaders"] and Polarize It [Strongly identify it with specific "leaders" with their media power, then proceed to attack and undermine the "leaders", thereby undermining the Tea Party movement.]

They do that at a high risk.

IF the dems start trying to destroy leaders that are known by tea party members and their descriptions don't match reality which happens all of the time they may be kissing off voters for a long, long time. Either way the rats are screwed with the tea party movement.

It just may be the invisible hand saving the nation.

A government that robs Peter to pay Paul will always have the support of Paul. Most immigrants and other minorities are named Paul.

Good news! They won’t be successful in identifying a leader, because Tea Partiers everywhere will deny a leader exist for the reasons you mentioned. We know their game.

No, they are not. If they were looking for hand-outs, there wouldn't be a whole lot of people griping that they were taking American jobs.

Now, looking for free medical care? Probably, but then a whole lot of white people are, too, if you look at places like Kos and DU.

No, I do not accept that the free stuff is what draws a lot of them.

Once they are here they gravitate to the Demonrat Party and become Pauls. Don’t believe it? Look at California. Look at the Texas border counties. Solid Dem and solid Pauls.

Why do they gravitate to the democrats, though? I know that they do, but why?

Could it possibly be that the democrats have immigrant-friendly groups who work with them? Why don't WE have this?

It's too simplistic to say that they are democrats because of welfare. First of all, a lot of them are NOT on welfare. Secondly, there are other things to attract people besides a temporary hand-out.

If you continue to accept that they will always be democrats, then we are eventually going to be in the minority permanently. If that is so, then why are we bothering about elections?
