...how did he get a bump anyway?

The bump came not from people who saw the speech, and were subsequently polled, it came from the way the Main Stream Media reported his SOTU, as usual spinning it into something favorable to Obama. Then came reality through the reporting on the internet and talk radio, which revealed that once again he was telling lies.

Is it too early to suggest Obama is becoming politically toxic?

Well, as you and I know, he has always BEEN politically toxic - its just that now the giant preposterous charade that has always been zer0bama can no longer be propped up even by the socialists in the “news”-rooms and “faculty”-lounges.

Isn’t it really strange that those polled expressed a clear preference for the Pubs on every issue named but showed a slight preference for the Dems on the corruption question?

Do they think the Dems are far more likely to screw up but somehow they are more honest about their screwups?

“Do they think the Dems are far more likely to screw up but somehow they are more honest about their screwups?”

I think it’s more a matter of the Dems being more and more honest about the “Progressive” agenda, trying to “get their message out,” while the Pubbies ran on conservatism in ‘94 and eventually showed themselves to be ‘Democrat-lite’ country-clubbers instead.

The American public punishes those who lie to it; hopefully the Pubbies will deserve their next shot at power.

After seeing Sarah tonight, I suspect that his poll numbers will edge just a bit downward again. The Tea Party people have to reject the nutters in the movement but they seem to be very strong, patriotic, Reaganesque as Sarah showed tonight. That is the type of spirit which can unite conservatives, Reagan Dems, Indies, Libertarians and all types of Pubs to drive out as many Dems in Nov. as possible. Tonight, Obama told the DNC, stick with me. Yeah, to defeat.
