PESHAWAR: The Afghan Taliban on Thursday demanded the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani scientist who has been convicted by the US court on charges of her alleged attempt to murder US soldiers in Afghanistan, and threatened to execute an American soldier they were holding currently. Being Muslims, it becomes our religious and moral obligation to help the distressed Pakistani woman convicted by the US court on false charges, said a senior Afghan Taliban commander. The commander, whose militant network is holding the US soldier, Bowe Bergdahl, called our sources from an undisclosed location in Afghanistan and threatened to execute the American trooper if their demand was not met.

Which should have been done on 9/12 on every Moslem population center.
Obama won’t do that. Unless he takes a hit in the polls over this he’ll let it slide. So make a fuss when the beheading video hits youtube and hope it springs him into action or wait until 2013 for vengeance.
Protestors in Karachi
There won’t be a deal and sadly, I fear the awful fate of our soldier.
Aafia’s trial was a circus. She should have been tried in a military venue and executed immediately.

While in custody, on July 18, 2008, prosecutors said, Ms. Siddiqui grabbed an M4 rifle from a police station floor and fired on Army officers and F.B.I. agents. She was shot in the abdomen.

Prayers for this soldier. I am sickened to realize that this young man’s life may soon end brutally. Living in Idaho near his hometown makes it feel more personal to me. May God strengthen & redeem him.
And from Amnesty International?
