When Bob Lutz, vice-chairman of General Motors, said this in February 2008, it immediately became the most widely distributed quote regarding global warming on the Internet. After all, this was one of the major power players in the automobile industry, and he was implying that anyone who believed that global warming was real, man-made, and altering the planet was something akin to a moron. But the problem with that quote is that it's incomplete. I know. I was there.
It was at a small private luncheon at Cacharel in Arlington, Tex., when Lutz uttered those words. But the quote omits what he said next: "Don't misunderstand me, I'm not a climate denier." As he explained to those present, he simply questions the mindset that blames all the climate change of the past few decades on mankind.
Lutz's comments that day were far more balanced and thoughtful than anyone who heard that particular quote might believe. And therein lies the problem with the current discussions on global warming: The media have taken the position that the science is complete and settled. A unanimous agreement that global warming not only exists but is man-made—and we're almost past the point where we can still save the planet from it. Moreover, anyone who questions those absolute statements is quickly labeled a "Climate Change Denier." This label is intended to shame and discredit doubters, much like 500 years ago when church officials prosecuted anyone who preached the earth was not the center of the universe.

“Climate change” is a dishonest label to use pejouritively because that’s what climates do, they change. All by themselves. From the ice age to the middle age heatwaves to the little ice age. The only constant is change.

Algore and his eviroloonies could never have gotten away with their hoax/scam for this long if we didn’t have so many brainless buffoons living in this country who believe everything they see and hear on the boob tube.
There is so much money to be made and so much power to be wielded from “carbon offsets” and “cap’n’trade” that they are going to do whatever it takes to bring it in. If “climate change” will do it, great, its to save the climate. If that doesn’t work, they’ll keep coming back with pretext after pretext until they get it.
The people behind the people behind the climate change fraud are playing a mucher bigger game than they can ever admit to publicly. This kind of money and power is worth selling the soul they haven’t got to the devil for.
Specifically, it makes more plants grow, thus saving lives in terms of both people and animals...necessarily saving some species from extinction.
CO2 production is about a pro-green an industry as human kind could ever embark on.
Oh and the bogus "theory" that CO2 is a significant driver of climate is strictly political science, not meteorological science.
I have decided that God has a very ironic sense of humor. How many climate summits have been conducted in snow or ice storms, or record cold snaps. I think God laughs at those who think that we can have any affect on the weather.

Very well said - AGW has nothing to do with science and everything to do with politics. The enviromarxists saw it as a perfect tool to impose their values on the rest of us. And they came close to succeeding...
This near-record snowstorm hitting DC as we speak, must be god’s way of putting the last nail in the coffin of these frauds.

I won’t say that for the folks there. I will say it is always exciting to get “socked in” if your ready for it. We are all kids at heart! As far as Al Gore goes he is in hiding and needs to tell God he is a fraud.
