I am beginning to think you have ADD or that you're stuck in stupid. As I pointed out in my original post to you, #51 , Sarah has been blasting government bailouts ever since she's been out on her own. She hasn't been John McCain's running mate since the night of November,4, 2008!
Again, wake-up! Get your head out of the past or out of where ever you have it.
The wonderful advances of our Judeo-Christian Western Civilization -- all of its scientific and technological blessings that have made lives better and richer and more free, all the fantastic inventions and advancements in medicine and agriclture and aviation and computers -- in virtually every aspect of mankind's advance -- would not have happened if the individuals involved had said, "Nope, sorry, no can do -- I have to put my kids first." Kids were raised by nannies and/or put up in English boarding schools for centuries, and during those centuries, England produced many great things, including, ultimately, the USA. With apologies to Dr. Laura, who I mostly love and agree with, the idea of having every family be child-focused in its "business" decisions is a trendy fad that in the long run, hugely threatens the advance of man. Men follow their dreams, and the kids tag along; that's how it needs to work. Except when it comes to the divorce of their parents, kids are tough; I think a big reason my own Baby Boomer generation is so screwed up is because parents forgot that.
Refusing to make "the interests of the children" as defined by pop culture the overriding consideration in career choices and fulfilling worthy dreams is NOT the same as child neglect. Indeed, it could be argued that it IS a form of child abuse, in that when those kids grow up and discover that they aren't the center of the world after all, they move back home with mom and dad because they can't handle that now that they've grown up, they're supposed to be the drones.
Men and women who've accomplished great things to the benefit of humanity didn't do so by putting everything on the back burner until their kids grew up. They brought their kids along for the ride.
The idiot keeps claiming Sarah plagiarizes Rush, and the Rush ghostwrote ‘Going Rogue’, and offers not PROOF other than his dimwitted opinion.
Varies year to year based on 5 year average of oil revenues
The 2008 dividend was $3,269. (included a one time rebate)
The 2009 dividend is $1,305.
Should read: "Indeed, it could be argued that always making "the children" come before all else IS a form of child abuse, in that when those kids grow up and discover that they aren't the center of the world after all, they move back home with mom and dad because they can't handle that now that they've grown up, they're supposed to be the drones.
Goodbye. Now go back to the Daily Koz. They've missed you.
He’s so embarrasing, even his ping posse won’t help him..............
Hes (?) so embarrasing, even his ping posse wont help him..............
He needs to get some kind of award.
"Dumbest poster ever"
"Most foolish 1%er on FR"
"Lowest IQ possible and still posts"
Something like that................
LOL. That poster has nothing to say of any interest to me since s/he is insistent to dwell in the past when Sarah was McCain’s running mate. Might as well spit into the wind. Sheesh.

Problem with your stupid theory is that in Congress, men lack balls!!! Only women these days seem to have some. So I choose women. And I am sure their children will be fine. What a stupid theory...so we can’t work or else, right? Sheeshhss
You are correct on all counts - the dominating children are extremely frustrating - I am breaking this down however - the first three year (perhaps seven) need the intimate dance between mother and child - if the mother cares to join. I am only talking about those years! They cannot be replaced - for good or for ill.
I understand the fad you are talking about and I am not a part. In fact, one of my 4 daughters is at boarding school for the precise reasons you brought up (actually she is there for musical theater which was not offered around here) Independence every step of the way!! The formative years starting in infancy are key though — Read “Anxious Parents”
Just remember the development window between mother and child - ages infant to three being most intense.
Is Palin willing to sacrifice her children for the Greater Good?? It cannot happen both ways.
That is why I would like to see a man come forth - perhaps an amazing man of color who is the True Leader.
Correction - I meant sacrifice her youngest children - the older ones are what they are
I understand the affirmative action - I am a pro lifer who knows that there are real black leaders out there -including MLK’s niece.
This is what I meant by the term a real black leader- perhaps Alan Keyes.
Elected on the merits - I get it.
I never said I don’t want women - I am simply asking why there aren’t the men out there who can do this so the women especially those who are rasing young children can stay home with them?
Why is this topic raising such a nerve?
I am not maligning the women (or face slapping) I am asking where are the men??
Here's another thought, and it's why I see God's hand in this. At this particular place in time, in this particular society and culture, where the Oprahs, Dianne Sawyers, Babwa Wawas, AAAAAAaaaaaaaandrea MITCHuls and Perky Katie Courics can (and do) disarm any male Republican by virtue of unspoken rules that dictate gentlemanly behavior, Palin is not onlyl immune, she's got claws as sharp as the Mean Girls.
A woman asks a man an impertinent catty question or presumes to chides a man, as Couric did to HW Bush, and a gentleman must be tongue-tied to be polite. A woman asks another woman an impertinent catty question or chides her ... break out the popcorn.
I'm not saying Palin is perfect. I'm saying I think she is God-sent.
Doest I hear a tinge of the cat in thee? "Mrow!Hssssst! Meow! Look at her own children -- harrrrrrumphhhhhhh! See! Now, MY children are all perfect because of ME."
Have you had your saucer of milk today?
