[history]
If Tea Party activists are unhappy with President Barack Obama, it would have been a lot worse under President John McCain, Tom Tancredo declared Thursday in opening remarks at the convention in Nashville, Tenn.

Part of what would have been worse is that the GOP would be blamed for how bad off we are. McCain, who flew back and almost dodged a debate to bail out the bankers, would not have likely gone against his “friends across the aisle” on the economy or anything else.
Imagine McCain’s State of the Union glare at the Supremes after his namesake got partially struck down.

Nope
Ahhhh..., another "Sarah Palin is a RINO" deranged individual... LOL...
I guess conservatives are going to have to coin another term to match the one they did with the "Obama Derangement Syndrome" -- so now we've got the "Palin Derangement Syndrome" types... :-)

Ummmm..., get on the "clue train" here... it's not because of McCain that we have the Tea Party -- it's because of Obama...
And we've got "Obama" because McCain and Palin lost....
I think that is the author's point. If McCain had won, we'd be getting the same kind of state-bankrupting socialism that we're getting now; we would just have gotten it slower and under a Republican banner. As such, it would have been difficult to get a movement like the Tea Parties going. With Obama in office, the communist Dems were dumb enough to try to ram everything down our throats at once, and so the Tea Parties were born. I'm glad McCain lost. Better we let things come to a head and deal with it now then sleep for another decade while our country goes down the toilet.

Republican Party leaders didn't create the Tea Party movement.Right. They didn't. But they're trying to hijack it and turn it into a party fundraising cash cow.

Tom Tancredo is right on. He needs to go Arizona and campaign against McCain. It would be an easy process. Just show McCain for who and what he is...

You get a clue, the Tea Party movement started in November 2007.

Tom Tancredo is a hypocrite and attention whore. Tom said he was't going to support McCain in the general election and then he did so, now he saying he's glad he lost. Sorry Tom your 15 minutes are up.

From the standpoint of how little a battle cry would have arisen from conservatives had McLame been elected in comparison to the battle cry (Tea Parties) that have risen up from Obozo’s obvious marxist/socialist agenda, I’d have to say I agree with Tancredo. I only hope the damage that Obozo’s already done, and the damage yet to be inflicted can be reversed.

You can thank Obama for kick-starting it into a big group...
The Tea Party Movement would be "wandering in the wilderness" if you had McCain and Palin in office right now, that is, with a Republican Administration.

Anybody that doesn’t pass **their** ultra purity test is now a RINO. I guess by their standards Reagan would have been a RINO.

Agreed. Obama has been a blessing in disguise for the conservative movement.

I’m of mixed sentiment on this point. If Obamao were any less a Marxist ideologue and loser than he is, he would be a survivable example of why liberalism is national lunacy, and why we need to return to the Constitution. Even though Obamao has revised the Republican Party as opposed to the ruination McCain would have brought it, he is well on his way to destroying the nation. While Obamao whines about the mess he inherited from Bush, he is creating an unimaginable nightmare to pass on to the next person to step into the White House. It’s hard to imagine anyone doing as much damage as quickly as Obamao is doing it. Then again, this might be better than what we would have had with four years of McCain wrecking the Republican Party, only to give it over to Obamao with nothing but a disorganized, disillusioned opposition to stand against him. Maybe this is better, but it horribly bad.

I love Sarah, and hope she makes good in 2012.
But with apologies to Colonel Hunt, I must ask:
Do you have a Sarah Palin blow up doll at home?
