Brown hits back at Kennedy for ‘joke’ candidacy dig

WASHINGTON, D.C. - A stung U.S. Sen. Scott Brown lashed out at U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy today for insulting his landmark win by calling his candidacy “a joke.”

Brown said Kennedy’s remarks are “mean spirited,” especially coming on the day he was celebrating being sworn into office.

“I was elected and the votes are certified and I’m here to do my job. It’s unfortunate that he would use mean-spirited comments like that at a time when we’re just trying to solve the problems of the Commonwealth,” Brown said today on his first full day on the job.

Just saw your ping Herald often has a few good articles. I like some of the British papers, Israel and a few others. What is up with Genealogy?

We’ll keep in close contact through our Scott Brown and Howie Carr threads and maybe when you all plan your FR events, I can try to make arrangements.

No it's a little simple cemetery. I descend directly from Roger Williams (banished from Massachusetts) and he deeded the lands to his grandson and they started a family plot, here's the oldest stone in the cemetery of Mercy Alverson: Mercy's stone She died if I recall correctly just before the Revolution and her family moved on to Upstate NY after the war. Anyway the place was a jungle until I meet my 10X cousin and we cleaned it all up...now we dine in Providence a couple of times a year. The village on the hill where they lived was one of the few to survive the Kings Phillips War in 1675 because they were Quakers and the Indians trusted them (they didn't know all the bulletts came from a silver mine on the hill - yes silver bullets kill indians not just werewolves).

Yep but a lot of folks in RI are related to him - but I’m 100% direct on my mothers side. I’m actually directly descended from one of the original founders of NY, Conn, RI, Mass, & Maine believe it or not, but folks somewhat intermarried for the first 150 years or so before the Revolution. I descend from 5 of the 102 Pilgrims - again not that unusal if you’re a Pilgrim descendant, if you are related to one more than likely you’re related to two or more.

But Roger Williams is my favorite, there are a LOT of Browns in his tree as well.
