WASHINGTON, D.C. - A stung U.S. Sen. Scott Brown lashed out at U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy today for insulting his landmark win by calling his candidacy a joke.
Brown said Kennedys remarks are mean spirited, especially coming on the day he was celebrating being sworn into office.
I was elected and the votes are certified and Im here to do my job. Its unfortunate that he would use mean-spirited comments like that at a time when were just trying to solve the problems of the Commonwealth, Brown said today on his first full day on the job.

What? Me? LOL. Ask STARWISE, or maggief, or Liz...
Dude...
I like the way you think, Condi, and completely agree about God's timing (and if I might be so bold as to say, His sense of humor :).
No wonder Regan Man gets his pants in a knot calling gals “cheerleaders”...Hey, that’s alright by me!..Brown can’t help his looks any more than those who don’t have them.... He is what he is. His whole family are lookers for that matter....seems inside and out. Time will tell.
Meanwhile enjoying all the pictures here...thnaks to all. Reminds me of how the Bush Family once adorned our screenes.
Dude...
What? Are you getting in line now... for the one that is free and looking? :-)
[... as for me, I'm old enough to be Scott Brown's father... LOL... ]
It's the stupid word the left has always used against Republicans and Senator Brown threw it right back in their faces.
Lovely. :)
I would. Not sure my wife would appreciate it much... but I would.
Grace, integrity, character, focus - all part of the Bush legacy. And a fine one at that.
Wonder if he’s off drugs and booze now? Likely not as I understand one trip to a clinic for help usually doesn’t curb the problem much. Just used as part of the front they are fine.
Yikes! And right before dinner too!
Excellent info. I’ll save for reposting.
Patches must be defeated!!!
You betcha!!
I think Brown has already brought his state a little farther to the right—we’ll see if he can keep bringing them along. There’s certainly enough corruption and taxation and incompetent one-party government to make them ripe for a semi-conversion. And Brown handling himself so well has really made an impression.
Weld made some progress after Dukakis, but he was still stuck with the legislature and then eventually flaked out. Still he was followed by several less successful Republican governors before the state went fully Democratic again. Now Patrick has been a harsh reminder of why that was such a bad idea.
Charlie Baker’s probably a competent enough guy if he gets in as governor, but he’ll need some more help in the legislature: let’s hope Brown has inspired enough patriots to get involved at the state level and work with Baker.
Your statement worth repeating...thinking you’re correct to say the least, now that my grey matter was awakened from the dah mode.

Mean-spirited is what they call us. He threw it back in their faces. I’m glad he spoke up.
Allow me to elaborate. I begin by stating that I liked Bush very much and I admire him.
Just recently on my TV here’s Clinton and Dubya. They are both in charge of helping out the Haiti effort...like that.
I forget who was interviewing them but one of the questions was to the effect of “How do you think you can avoid Haiti being another Katrina?”
My blood boiled. Bush, who is no longer even President and bound by decorum for God’s sake, just mumbled something but damn....
Why couldn’t he have pointed out that...With Katrina there was some warning but many folks didn’t leave the danger...very much unlike an earthquake.
Or...why couldn’t he have said that we have a system of local authority for such things, that he called up LA’s Governor who asked for no special effort by the Fed?
Or ...why couldn’t he have said that school buses were left to stand idle and become inoperable in the flood?
Or...why couldn’t he have pointed out that it wasn’t necessarily the natural disaster that cause LA’s problem but more a deteriorated infrastructure for which the state had been given many federal funds through the years?
But hey, if you think sitting back and taken a bunch of unfair criticism without even pointing out, kindly and with a sense of fairness to be sure, the truth....more power to y’all.
As I see it, the libs succeeded in making Bush the bad guy in Katrina, in the Iraq WMD lies (like...why couldn’t he point out, EACH AND EVERY TIME it’s stated about no WMD’s...how the American congress voted FOR the invasion of Iraq?
Having your opponent get away with sucessfully blaming you and pinning lies and failure on you is like having your opponent hit you head on with a big red paintball. Or, if in the jungle, maybe get in a clean sniper shot right through an eyeball.
IT’S PART OF THE BATTLE DEFENDING YOURSELF!
To state that to sit idle as the world around beats on you unfairly is somehow noble....well hey....what were Bush’s approval ratings when he left office?
Whatever you do, DO NOT LET ME GET THE LAST WORD!
Keep telling me about being noble as you sit by idly while being attacked unfairly, even viciously.
Keep arguing cause I’ve made my case and I will shake my head at those who think a good and fair defense is somehow integrity, character and focus. Comes the time I should ever have to pick out team mates for whatever bizarre reason, well those making such arguments would never be on my team.
I could be wrong, hey, it happens. But I’m moving on.
love that Brown used the words, "mean spirited," as the Dems often use that to describe Repubs...
My head is a-spin... whew!
