Given the past SAD history of statistical trickery in this area, I would much rather that all concerned would move away from the ever amorphous "jobs" designation to something far more concrete like work-days of employment.
Why is this important? Start by dividing the $87.9m by the claimed 5k jobs and you get $17.5k / 'job' and this is over 3 years? Even if you add the very vague 'plus additional money in grants' from another agency --- does this sound like a real job or is it a short-term make-work program? Of course it could be I am just all too skeptical of these Big Government people ...
