No slip-up - when they show a commercial of that hippie getting out of the car back in the 60s morphing into today’s lefty/greenie, you know they’re not looking for our business. Likewise, you would think Misubishi would be wise enough to distance themselves from the 1941 Pearl Harbor “incident.”

It’s not a hatchet and it’s not a myth. The American companies have a long history of making crappy cars and refusing to fix them. Heck GMs CEO even admitted it in their pre-bailout troubles, if you think there’s a myth there take it up with him.

Shares of Honda and Toyota are freely traded on the New York Stock Exchange. American citizens can buy and sell stock in those companies, but not Chrysler or GM.
