Tennessee state Senate speaker and gubernatorial candidate Ron Ramsey has joined the growing ranks of officials and prominent commentators who say they are unsure of whether President Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen.

Ramsey was asked Feb. 2 about the issue by Maclin Davis, a former state lawmaker and attorney for the state GOP, the Associated Press reported.

"I don't know whether President Obama is a citizen of the United States or not," Ramsey responded. "I don't know what the whole deal is there."

However, Ramsey added that he doesn't believe citizens are concerned about Obama's citizenship status.

"But I'm going to tell you something," he said. "When you walk out on the street down here, people don't really care about this issue."

I agree that something very fishy is going on with the BC issue.

Having said that, you all need to relax and let this come along naturally. It will stand or fall on its own merit.

I hope Bam Bam is not a citizen but what’s troubling is O’Reily reports his people going through newspaper records and finding Bam Bam’s birth announcement in two seperate papers.,

Birth announcements, at the time BO/BS was born, were placed in newspapers merely by a parent notifying the Hawaii Department of Health, who would in turn release to the newspapers. There was no verification of the parents claims.

Mere citizenship is not the issue. All three of my adopted children are “citizens,” but none can ever run for the office of POTUS, because they are not “natural born citizens.”

It’s becoming increasingly muddled as to what a “natural born citizen” is, but I’ve read definitions which require that both parents be citizens of the US, and of no other nation.

The COLB may be a Red Herring. I think he has a problem with his return to Hawaii from Indonesia. He was an Indonesian citizen. There are questions about how he regained US citizenship. Indonesia did not allow dual citizenship.

It goes to heart of "rule of law". I am suspicious when ObaMao has gone to so much trouble to hide any documentation of his birth or education. I have seen no evidence of ZerO being a "natural born Citizen".

I do not buy O'Reilly's argument that no one would have put birth announcement in Hawaiian newspapers in anticipation of DumBO being elected Pres__ent. But, even in the 60s, there was tremendous importance in being an American over being a Kenyan.

More importantly, it is the one he used to register with Selective Service. Go on their site and type that number in along with his last name and date of birth. The result is that a record exists under that name, DOB, and SS number. The Selective Service number that is attached to that record matches the one that was assigned to him.
