Bankrupt Air America’s Creditors Include Rachel Maddow, Ron Reagan
New York Times ^ | February 3, 2010 | PATRICK MCGEEHAN

When Air America Media, the liberal radio network, went bust last month, it left several of its better-known contributors, including Rachel Maddow and Ron Reagan, holding i.o.u.’s.

According to the company’s bankruptcy filing, its unsecured debts exceeded its net worth by more than $15 million at the end. Almost all of that is owed to Pendulum Media, the company run by Air America’s chairman, Charlie Kireker.

But when the lefty chatter stopped, some of the talkers had not been paid for the last of the airtime they filled. Ms. Maddow was due $3,952 for her services, which appeared to be about two-thirds of her monthly pay of $5,833. Mr. Reagan’s company was owed $6,351, two-thirds of his monthly pay of $9,375.

Ellis Henican managed to extract a payment of $750 after the network shut down on Jan. 21, but was due an additional $1,500, according to documents filed in federal court in Manhattan.

I remember the abject degree of cynicism in which those who were inspired to showcase the cause of liberalism as the morally righteous, supreme philosophy of our day haughtily ridiculing the likes of Rush Limbaugh, the conservative hold on the public, in the media, as some sort of national joke.

Air(head) America was launched to demonstrate the "fallacy" of the conservative perspective as ascendant, dominant in our culture as function of its success in the media by launching its very own network, and without much effort generate the sort of support, strength in numbers to at the very least mitigate the degree in which the right-wing conservatism perspective seems has taken hold.

And so to the woefully misguided, convoluted, pathologically-afflicted sycophants of leftwing, liberal, moonbat philosophy please alllow me to offer my condolences on your loss;

BUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

“..about two-thirds of her monthly pay of $5,833”

Surprisingly little, really. I guess radio doesn’t pay unless you’re really big (e.g. Rush), or as a stepping stone to TV.

Err America Kept living long after it should have been pronounced dead. A rotting corpse, resusitated over and over again by the fetid dreams of its freak supporters.

Olberman is next.

The left told the REAL creditors of GM and Chrysler to go “flock” themselves. Wonder what will happen here?

70k a year and all they did was play an audio rerun of her tv show.

Not bad work if you can steal from a charity to pay for it...
