Factions in the Democrat Party have done more to derail Obama than the opposition party has.

Just yesterday, Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR), running behind nearly all GOP contenders in her reelection bid, made a strong statement to Obama regarding the concern of one of her constituents who:

"fears that there's no one in your administration that understands what it means to go to work on Monday and make a payroll on Friday."
