"If this poll is accurate (and Research 2000 has a good reputation for accuracy), the Republican base has an absurdly high percentage of wackos of all stripes, from religious fanatics to creationists to secessionists to conspiracy theorists," said Charles Johnson on Little Green Footballs.

Well, Chuckie, the norm is statistically defined, not defined by your liberal beliefs.

At least we don't believe the massacre of babies in the womb is a "choice", don't believe in continuing to spend when the national checkbook is out of checks, and realize the US Constitution was intended to limit and define the few powers ceded to the Federal Government by the soverign states.

Sometimes, a conspiracy is just that, and not just a 'theory'.

Liberal commentators remind me of people in the crowd jeering and insulting a cop in the street during a parade while the pickpockets are behind them cleaning them out...

The questions in and of themselves are revealing, aren’t they? Or more specifically, they’re revealing of who authored them. Regardless of the answers, the person or committee who commissioned them must have these questions themselves or they wouldn’t have asked them.

I don’t see anything extreme here.

I think it’s the poll sponsors who are extreme.

well... since currently 83% of all Americans are Christians... I would assume the percentage of Christian Republicans would be much higher.

And I am not aware of any Christian denomination that refutes Jesus Christs own words in John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”

Agreement with that statement is what makes someone a Christian.

I think it’s hilarious that they think the idea of sessession is so extreme when a mere 5 years ago, they were promoting the same thing with their “Jesusland” v. USofC maps and discussion boards.

I think we should let the left seccede, take all the blue counties, we take all the red. See what the blue actually produce.

67 percent believe the only way to get to heaven is through Jesus Christ

Not wanting to exclusionary or divisive, people speak the "multiple ways to God" or "all religions lead to God" lie.

Mark 14:35-36 35Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. 36"Abba,[a] Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."

In essence, IF THERE'S ANY OTHER WAY, FATHER, PLEASE LET ME AVOID THE COMING TORTURE, HUMILIATION, AND DEATH.

And "liberal" Christians would say that God knows there are many, many "other ways", but He submitted His only Son to a humiliating, torturous death just out of malice or whim.

Secession discussion is the ultimate in making a lib’s head explode -

it trumps all their authoritarian collectivist fantasies, because they know that people WILL vote with their feet, and all the looters and takers will move into the “progressive” states of the country, and all the producers, and people in general who make the country work will move to the free states.

There's a reason his "eligibility" issue hasn't gone away like they wished it had. More people are finally waking up to the fraud known as BHO.

HOW CAN A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN'S STATUS BE "GOVERNED" BY GREAT BRITAIN?

“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.

Furthermore:  Hawaii's Territorial Law, Chapter 57 - "VITAL STATISTICS, I", shown beginning pg 23 of 29, (the law in effect in 1961) allowed baby's born anywhere in the world to be eligible to apply for a Hawaii birth certificate.

Barry Soetoro, the divided citizen at birth!

Black Democrats are almost all Christian so it helps make up for the atheist contingent among the Democrats.

I take it you are disputing my contention that given a choice Jesus would be a Registered Republican?

Most Republicans think Barack Obama is a socialist and Sarah Palin is more qualified than him to be president.

Well, the push for socialized medicine pretty much solidifies the first part. However, I think Palin would just be a whole new set of problems.

21 percent believe the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) stole the 2008 election and 55 percent aren't sure.

I don't believe that. He had genuine momentum and whether it's a crock or not, the American public by and large bought the change mantra.

31 percent believe Obama is a racist who hates white people and 33 percent aren't sure.

I don't believe he hates white people.

23 percent want their state to secede from the U.S. and 19 percent aren't sure.

This one is rich. I'm not only on record as being 100% against secession, but I'd whole-heartedly support decisive military action against real attempt.

Only 26 percent favor letting openly gay Americans serve in the military.

I really don't care about gays one way or the other. I'm neither for or against gay rights, because it's no skin off of my back either way.

Ha ha.

Ask where the jerk was born, you’re a “conspiracy nut”.

Umm, seems to me that if a poll is accurate and indicates an overwhelming majority of American Citizens reply in a like manor to a question, that reply is then considered to be mainstream.

In this instance it appears that the communists are attempting to turn mainstream into absurdly high percentage of wackos ,“

The only “wackos” I see in this are the few communist supporters at little green footballs.

Once again the communists are attempting to portray themselves as correct and only succeed in demonstrating they are pitifully stupid.
