Family members of Christmas Day airline bomb suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab traveled to the U.S. in recent weeks and persuaded him to start talking again to federal agents, Obama administration officials said Tuesday.
The officials provided some of the first behind-the-scenes details of how they handled Mr. Abdulmutallab's case, following criticism from Republicans and others that the government should have done more to extract intelligence from him.
The Nigerian man was charged in December with attempting to detonate a bomb aboard a Northwest Airlines flight to Detroit from Amsterdam.
Federal law-enforcement officials said Mr. Abdulmutallab has provided "valuable intelligence" in the past week, when he began cooperating again with Federal Bureau of Investigation interviewers. Mr. Abdulmutallab was interviewed for an hour shortly after the botched bombing and then stopped cooperating, officials have said. Justice Department prosecutors filed their initial criminal complaint the following day.

Is this what we do now? If a terrorist is, in fact, talking, and we have no way of knowing that this is true, we tell all his terrorist buddies, hahaha, he’s talking. You’d better take measures to go underground and protect yourselves.

You know the Left will spin it this way, “see you don’t need to torcher” - but how many days has elapsed since Christmas? 40 days for others to cover his tracks and for his terrorist camp to move their operation. In the Homeland Security buisness seconds count.
This is, and only is, propaganda put out by the BO administration to cover up and deflect attention from a criminally mishandled situation. And note they are willing to cover their butts by making some kind of deal with this devil, and granting him concessions, not the least of which is the chance to meet with his parents. And note they are willing to cover their butts when putting our lives at risk. I want to know what kind of a bargain they made with him, and what he gets out of it.
Obama is using this to say that his policy of Mirandising terrorists is working.
However how many terrorists fathers are going to call and say my crazy son is coming to bomb you , and then visit the fool in jail and talk him into giving information.
What good is that information 2 weeks later anyway?
I also agree that even if he is talking why announce it to the world that we have a stoolpigeon, doesnt this allow his friends to hide?
This administration hsnt done anything smart yet, why change now , I guess.

I don’t believe this at all. This is a move to cover Holder’s and the FBI’s collective asses.
I know I have posted this many times, but Obama needs to be impeached and tried for treason.
I hope his father has his own security force. Because Holder just signed his Death Warrant.
