Beck Slaughters Huffington’s False Claim: Clearing up the Argument between Beck and Huffington
David Horowitz's NewsRealblog ^ | Jeff Hedgpeth

In a previous post I discussed the confrontation between Fox News President Roger Ailes and Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington on last Sunday’s This Week on ABC. Let me repeat the relevant portion of the transcript from the video embedded in that post.

HUFFINGTON: Well, Roger, it’s not a question of picking a fight. And aren’t you concerned about the language that Glenn Beck is using, which is, after all, inciting the American people? There is a lot of suffering out there, as you know, and when he talks about people being slaughtered, about who is going to be the next in the killing spree…

AILES: Well, he was talking about Hitler and Stalin slaughtering people. So I think he was probably accurate. Also, I’m a little….

HUFFINGTON: No, no, he was talking about this administration [Emphasis added].

AILES: I don’t — I think he speaks English. I don’t know, but I mean, I don’t misinterpret any of his words.

When I wrote the last post it was unclear to what Ms. Huffington was referring. Since then, she has clarified what she was talking about when she said Beck was accusing the Obama administration of leading people to slaughter. Ms. Huffington offered this explanation on the Huffington Post, “Glenn Beck Goes After Me, But Forgets His Show Is on Video and Lies About Things He “Never, Never” Said”. Please note that the video to which she is referring is embedded in Ms. Huffington’s post.

Clearly, Glenn Beck was talking about the economy being slaughtered by the Obama Administration policies in the video Ms. Huffington cites, and she was trying to conflate a dated clip with Mr. Beck’s recent documentary about actual slaughter by ruthless socialist and communist dictators while it was still fresh in people’s minds.

Well one other has said so and I’m still not seeing any proof.

You want another? Fine, count me as another. Next time, though, instead of the pompous attitude and false accusation of hearsay, either accept that many of us here and millions of Americans who listen to both the radio and TV show have heard Glenn promote third party (none specifically) over the GOP umpteen times or have your own courage, do the homework and dig up the transcripts, available on his website.

It makes me nutty, to have to defend Glenn AND opposing FReepers of Glenn almost daily here.

40 years ago at Cambridge University, Arianna was very ambitious and an opportunist. In those days she was a kind of Melina Mercouri with bad skin. As a young college student she hooked up with Bernard Levin, an extraordinarily unhandsome but very powerful conservative columnist for the Times and TV celebrity - an ugly George Will. It gave her access to social circles that her own minor accomplishments at that time would not have allowed. She is certainly not stupid - but she is conceited, pompous, elitist and above all presumptious. The latter is an unfortunate trait of most Oxbridge and Ivy League graduates. Beck did a great job exposing her sloppy thinking and her overwhelming condescension. Alas Beck’s criticisms will have about as much effect on her as similar criticisms would have on Nil Maher.

The Glen Beck TV program yesterday was a real treat. He was on a roll refuting the Huffington contortion of what he actually said. Beck is doing an outstanding job of presenting background information on the players in the progressive movement who have taken control of the democrat party. I think he has taken unnecessary and uncalled for shots at Bush and the Republican party and recently at Scott Brown. He seems to think a third party would be the solution to whatever deficiencies exist in the Republican party. He is wrong, wrong, wrong. A third party, however well motivated, or successful, inevitably results in democrats returning to, or staying in, office. This may be in part because they are, IMO, infiltrated from the beginning with socialists and democrat party members whose goals are to defeat Republicans, not elect the candidate of the third party.

Doesn’t Glen Beck have an ACTUAL TELEPHONE on his desk with a direct number he has GIVEN TO THE WHITE HOUSE in case they want to correct any of his so-called ‘lies’?

Huffington actually started her carreer as a conservative! when she found that no one would give her idiocy any air time she changed to a liberal- they are MUCH more tolerant of idiocy (in fact I think it is a requirement to believe liberalism)
