SNIPPET: "As the trial of Dutch anti-Islamist lawmaker Geert Wilders resumes Wednesday, the crucial question will be whether the court agrees to his request to have a Muslim extremist and convicted murderer testify.
Wilders, who faces charges of discrimination and incitement to hatred over his claims linking the Koran to violence, wants the court to hear from an extremist who cited the Islamic text to justify his crime.
Mohammed Bouyeri is serving a life sentence for murdering Dutch film director Theo van Gogh..."
SNIPPET: "Van Gogh was stabbed and shot to death on a street in Amsterdam street in 2004. In a note left pinned to his body with a knife, Bouyeri threatened to kill another person reviled by extremist Muslims in Europe Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a Somalia-born Dutch politician who worked with Van Gogh on his film.
The lengthy note, which also warned that America, Europe and the Netherlands would be destroyed, included numerous references to the Koran."
SNIPPET: "By calling Bouyeri as a defense witness, Wilders aims to bolster his case that as extremist Muslims themselves use the Koran to justify their violent actions, he should not be prosecuted for essentially telling the truth.
Bouyeri is one of more than a dozen witnesses Wilders wants to call upon during his trial. Others include experts on Islam and legal scholars."
SNIPPET: "In March 2008, Wilders released a short documentary entitled Fitna (an Arabic word in the Koran translated as strife or ordeal), which intersperses graphic images of terrorism with translated verses from the Koran and clips of Muslim clerics endorsing violence.
Also included were snippets of interviews with Van Gogh and newspaper headlines relating to Islamic death threats against others Hirsi Ali, British author Salman Rushdie, and Wilders."

Bouyeri: Comparison With Bin Laden is too Much Honour

Mohammed Bouyeri, the killer of Theo van Gogh, has had a chance to air his extremist views to the court, and says that to be compared with Osama Bin Laden is too much honour.
“That you compare me to Bin Laden is for him an insult and for me too much honour, but if you say I am the black-flag bearer of the islam in Europe fulfills my honour, pride and happiness” said Bouyeri to the OM (Public prosecutor) in the packed court in Amsterdam-Osdorp...

I like this guy’s strategy. Problem is, the judge and jury are most likely hand wringing liberal Euro-weenies. He’ll be found guilty, I fear.
Won’t be long till what Dutch are left will bemoan the fact they didn’t listen to Wilders. I am first time in Amsterdam, be her for a month, and there are muzzies everywhere. Will be like London in a few years unless they wake up and boot out the enemy within.
It is a war and they are winning.
Show trial. Kangaroo court. Parts of Europe have travelled the circle back to the totalitarian 1930s.
Long live Stalin!
Seig Heil!
I’m sending the Dutch embassy a swastika and urging them to paste on the entrance.
Notice who’s on trial. A normal, innocent, peaceful person who is calling attention to the extreme violence practiced by members of the death cult.
He is on trial for SPEAKING.
No death cult member is being tried for actually MURDERING people.
Anywhere you are not allowed to criticise Islam,
you are in an Islamic country.
Anne Frank would have spoken out in defense of Geert. Maybe he should have found a roomy attic where he would be safe instead of going along with this kangaroo court.
I will go to the Dutch consulate with a sign “Anne Frank would be so ashamed”. Will anyone in California join me?
Kind of ironic. Even the Nazis didn’t destroy Anne’s freedom of speech.
All the negative observations she made about what the Nazis were doing outside would never be allowed to be publicized today if they cited the Koran instead of Mein Kampf as the source of their beliefs.

If ever a film should be made of a ‘trial’. . .and the trials of a man, defending freedom in what should be, a ‘free state’. . .this is it. Doubt however, a script is being prepared; but maybe. . .
He accepts their claim in good faith, speaks about it, and is arrested for “incitement to hatred”?
I suppose the next logical step in this Alice in Wonderland farce would have to be to get a killer who said that Islam is what motivated him to kill to testify that, indeed, he killed due to his understanding of what his Islamic religion requires.
No question about the ‘euro-weenie’ mind; now embedded in this culture. All too pathetic; and certainly a ‘sign’ and a ‘warning sign’ at that; as to what we can expect more of here - if we continue to embrace the PC model of Islam. And despite Ft. Hood; the ‘panty bomber’ et al. . .ad nauseum; there appears no change.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali should be called to WILDER’s defense as a witness. It would bring that crap trial, which is an attack against free speech, under the spot lights and probably the libtard judges would not dare to sentence G.WILDERS
As if the parallel between Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” (i.e. My Struggle) wasn’t enough. It’s exactly the same term used by the Mooselimbs (jihad=struggle) to justify their killing of others. You’d think the Dutch would have learned the first time around.
And Boueri will be his cellmate.
Communists talk of “the struggle” as well.
How about this for a sign:
“Never forget—Anne Frank was arrested by Dutch Police”
“He is on trial for SPEAKING.”
Yep.
Thank you for the ping Ulysse.
