He was afraid he’d lose to Bayh so he didn’t bother.
“Maybe just healthy disgust.”
It was that “Healthy Disgust” that caused him to quit the Senate in the first place....
He was sick of the constant election money chase, among other things...
That he’s willing to do this now, knowing he doesn’t NEED the job, at a great time of American need, says a whole hell of a lot about him.
