(Newser) Jon Stewart will brave the wilds of Fox News tomorrow to appear on Bill OReillys program for the second time. But why? Stewart wants to be on the highest-rated show in cable news, a source joked to the New York Daily News. Whatever the impetus, the two cable giants are expected to discuss the Obama administration and the media, or whatever. The interview will air tomorrow night and Thursday on the O'Reilly Factor.
Will give him props for doing coverage of the ACORN scandal as it unfolded...
but that’s it.
oops retype:
Will give Stewart props for doing coverage of the ACORN scandal as it unfolded...no other liberal did.
but that’s it.
While I disagree with just about everything Stewart has to say, he is a funny guy and a rare worthy adversary on the other side.
Why not have a roundtable panel with Andy Dick, Carrot Top, and Andrew Dice Clay?
He’s an entertainer who serves as CBS-Viacom’s outreach agitpop advisor to the 15-30 set on Viacom’s Comedy Central network.
Hardly an adversary. He’s a propagandist. Nothing more.
Is he a “counter” to Rush Limbaugh? The comedy bits aren’t the selling point.
I disagree. He is much more intelligent than Olbermann, Franken (senator?!?!) or any of those liberal turds on TV. Of course that’s saying very, very little. He is still completely misguided.
He mugs for the camera with utter disgust at any ELECTED CONGRESSMAN who challenges any of the Administration’s lies.
Maybe it is because when I see it on a tv it’s with the subtitles on and sound off that I pay more attention when he is making faces and “quoting” Republicans. It is purely juvenile. Not debate. Not countering the statement. Just mewmewmooomooomew “poopypants” childlike arguing.
He’d like to anchor the CBS evening news, he was being groomed as voice for a new generation in the wake of the 2004 election. But in his current role, he is free to let his objectivity slip.
