Mullen tweets support for 'Don't ask, don't tell' repeal

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on Tuesday used Twitter to restate his position that gays and lesbians should be allowed to serve openly in the military.

At a congressional hearing, Adm. Mike Mullen said he believes repealing the 1993 law is the "right thing to do." Minutes later, Mullen tweeted, saying that he stands by what he said:

"Stand by what I said: Allowing homosexuals to serve openly is the right thing to do. Comes down to integrity."

Mullen's words represent the strongest statement to date by a top military official in support of the repeal.

Hearings on "Don't ask, don't tell" comes almost a week after President Barack Obama called for a prompt reversal of the policy during his State of the Union address.

Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday said he expects the military to lift the policy by year's end.

All I can say is WTF?! A Navy Admiral is now Tweeting his advocacy on instituting liberal homosexual activism into our military? Somewhere this has got to be a major breech of military etiquette and a total disgrace.

Gee, I wonder who is attempting to move to the front of the “Wesley Clark - Colin Powell” line to political inheritance.

Good luck with that.

Integrity.......how about the respect of position?

The Chairman of The Joint Chiefs of Staff, of The United states of America, should not be issuing policy statements on twitter.

One thing most every serviceman and woman knows is that once the DOD gets started with this, in the end being gay will become a requirement.

Comes down to integrity

Integrity of what? The squadron? The platoon?

The sexual deviants' delusions of normality?

Congress has to re-write the rules so the military has to follow the rules in place. In advance of this being re-written, which has yet to even begin to happen, Mullen is agitating to NOT follow the rules passed by Congress.

And he calls it “integrity”. Mullen could be reduced to molecules and atomic sub-strate matter and not one shred of integrity would not be found in this asshat.

America is crumbling. Mullen should have been removed for this; happily for him the usurper in chief is busily pleasuring himself with one hand while he shreds the constitution with the other.

Mullen is a LEFT tool. Admirals usually are—they get to believing that because they get the flourishes and ruffles and the Navy Band to mark their comings and goings with pomp and circumstance that they are more than the sum of their personal character and performance—most of which in my naval career I found badly wanting. In short, they lie shamelessly and falsify data and events to serve their own careers.

Let me summarize: Senior flag rank officers are, more often than not, PC pukes and vicious little lapdogs snarling and biting subordinates while firmly attaching their lips to their superiors.

I respect none of them. I never did. I just followed orders. I refused to follow the ones where I was ordered to falsify reports from what I had witnessed and recorded. I had one answer—you change it, you put your name on it, my report stands as is, accurate and objective, or it does not get my signature. I was a Ltjg the last time they pulled that crap on me. I suppose it explains how I retired as a LCDR. Pissed too many of them off.

So... will men and women share rooms, bunks, and showers?
If not, then why not?
Because they’re different?
Because the women might feel sexually harassed by the men?

Oops—left off the last word:

JAG is about to be very busy prosecuting military "hate crimes".
LOL, and they thought they had their hands full prosecuting Navy SEALS and Marines for daring to fire their weapons in self-defense on the battlefield, and for giving a murdering terrorist a fat lip!

Congratulations, America, on your "historic" election.

You don’t rise above USN Captain/US Army Colonel without being very political (the occasional exception getting one star but never further). Flag rank is knowing who and where to kiss on the way up. Just the nature of things. Mullen wouldn’t have been appointed if he hadn’t marched in lock-step with the administration and be a “Yes” man.

Administration wants this, so does Mullen. If the administration didn’t want this, neither would Mullen. Remember, this is the same Pentagon group that has agreed to giving the Taliban constitutional rights in Afganistan and other stupid decisions.

Mullen is being inconsistent - in fact, downright discriminatory !

What makes faggotry a privileged perversion ? Why not add pedophiles ? Or those who like sex with animals ? Think of the opportunities for those who favor dead bodies as sex "partners" ? Of course, the "transgendered" must be allowed, and given sex change operations at the military hospitals. Special facilities must be provided for those who like "water sports". Equipment and proper space must be allowed for those into bondage, sadism and masochism.

We need to change the "gays in the military" phrase to "perverts in the military". And force idiots like Mullen to champion the cause of ALL perversions. What logical reason does he have for NOT doing so ?

None ! C'mon admiral. Your "integrity" demands it !

Since General Pace left, I have found very little to respect about the hierarchy of the military services. I am disgusted with the whole lot of them, and will be ashamed to wear the uniform...I will end my career.

In five years in-country in Afghanistan I saw more perfidy, stupidity, blanching, wobbling, ass covering and ass kissing, as well as corruption to fill a bookshelf. I know who these people are.

I am glad I am not alone in recognizing what is ground truth rather than what is spoon-fed.

I picture America as Gulliver tied to the ground by little people and the harmful, destructive restraints with which they bind a formerly great nation.

I am pissed off about it no question.

But, when it came time to get things done, the catch-phrase was “it is what it is” and we did the best we could do despite the politicians posing as officers in command running the show.

Well, this is why every night when I try to sleep, I first have to pray to God to forgive me for my anger, give me some peace, and help me to be patient, knowing He will set things right in His own time; it is not my responsibility.

I look at Ecclesiates, Solomon, who turned out to be a piece of work in his own right, who summarized all of his musings on the transitory nature of man, the futility of his strivings, and the essential meaningless of acquisition of fame, glory, wealth, and acclaim, as all being mere vanity and by stating “in the end, the only purpose of man is to fear and obey God” (paraphrasing).

So, vulgar, angry, impatient, and bitter for so many wrongs that never are righted, I pray knowing I am just as bad and in need of forgiveness as the ones I blame for screwing it all up.

"Stand by what I said: Allowing homosexuals to serve openly is the right thing to do. Comes down to integrity."

Just stop for a second and think of the mechanics of what the Admiral's talking about (You know, insert tab A into slot B).....and then tell me that it has anything to do with integrity.
