I will never forget the starvation of Terri Schiavo and Jeb Bush’s failure to push his RINO’s in the legislature or use emergency power to save her life.
I have never forgotten the death of Nancy Cruzan over 20 years ago in Missouri.
The Republican Governor who let it happen there was none other than John Ashcroft. The lefties hate Ashcroft and Clarence Thomas regrets being nasty to him years ago, but I think his “pro-life” views were phony when Cruzan was put to death.
Bush did everything he could, legally. The legislature almost passed the bill to protect Terri Schiavo, but his RINO enemy, the corrupt Jim King (now burning in hell), who was the GOP state senate leader at that time, defeated the bill.
Should he have gone stood in the doorway to Terri’s room? Possibly, but that would have been a private act. He acquitted himself much better than Terri’s bishop, the horrible Bishop Lynch, who forbade priests to visit her and then took off for a tour of the Holy Land when he knew she was dying, even though bishops are not supposed to be away from their dioceses at Easter.
In fact, Bush did a lot more than most average people. When I went to a vigil there, the press had turned out and set up tents to watch the protesters...and there were more of them than there were of us. It was shameful.
Perhaps if Bush had gotten more support, he would have gone and stood in the doorway. Were you there?
That said, he was a good governor here, he’s probably the most conservative of the Bush brothers, he’s well spoken and has a very good public manner - but I honestly don’t think he wants to be president.
For one thing, his wife hated politics and actually usuall didn’t even live in Tallahassee. She’s very retiring, and I certainly don’t see her wanting to be the wife of a president.
