Jeb Bush is back, and some think he's looking presidential - ROLLING MY EYES GAG ALERT.

Posted on 02/01/2010 2:48:30 PM PST by RED SOUTH

The capper came Thursday when, at the top of the 7 o'clock hour, right after Vice President Joe Biden, Bush made a rare network television appearance on NBC's Today Show. The intensely private Bush's interview with the overly familiar Matt Lauer rattled Florida political circles.

Was this the beginning of a Jeb juggernaut that would culminate in a 2012 presidential bid?

I’m wondering where most of the people who are criticizing Bush on Terri Schiavo were at the time of her death. Did they go to the hospital? Did they protest?

I went to a vigil at the hospital, and there was virtually nobody there. I’d doubt that our Keyboard Kommandos bothered to turn up.

After reading Terry Reed's book, which he wrote in order to save his life, I'm sure that they have been socially connected for a long time.

Rove did a double take when Hannity brought it up, but acknowledged that, indeed, he has vacationed with the Clintons on occasion.

After 4 years of Obozo, even GW Bush will look awful good. I’d vote for Jeb. People on this thread haven’t explained why they hate him.

I think a lot of people are getting their feel for Jeb from this article:

He should have run in 2000. By this point he's yesterday's man.

It's a pity he doesn't have more of a chance, but you have to figure if he's on the ballot a lot of people who might otherwise vote GOP won't be able to resist pulling the other lever, just because of his last name.

Right now the only race the family will be involved in is Billy's battle with Ryan Seacrest.

Interesting question, but in 2009 I saw Democrats with a 3.6 trillion dollar budget plan and Repubicans with a 3.1 trillion dollar budget plan.

I guess inflation has made the difference greater than in 1968 when George Wallace said “there wasn’t a dimes worth of difference” between the Democrats and Republicans.

Both parties pander to more spending and W Bush pledged billions to fight AIDS, supported TARP, signed McCain-Feingold that the Supreme Court just gutted as “unconstitutional.”

Ironically, Roberts and Alito may be the best things that George W. Bush did for this country.

he was a good governor here, he’s probably the most conservative of the Bush brothers, he’s well spoken

That's been my understanding from a distance as well. I wish his name was Mergetroyd because if it was I'd want to take a closer look at him as a candidate. But, I think 41 and 43 have poisoned the well for him, as this thread illustrates.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I didn’t post the Bush/Clinton golf cart picture.

I wouldn’t go that far, I think they have a lot of class, and I think Bush did a lot right. But, we do not have kings, and political dynasties are way to close to that.

We can’t change the bad decisions made by political leaders in 2005, but in the future, things must be different.

I want to suggest what could have been done by Jeb or W Bush to save her life if they had been serious, which I beleive neither one was in Terri’s case.

Bush, Clinton, Bush — a Caligula, sandwiched by two Neroes. Please, no more. We need a Vespasian.

Like I said, there were issues I disagreed with Bush on and you listed some of them.

While the Justices he appointed definitely deserve our praise, we must not forget what he also did in the aftermath of 9/11. Sure am grateful to God that Bush was our CIC when our son was fighting in Iraq. The thought of those men and women now suffering under Obama makes my skin crawl and my b.p. rise.

Because of Bush we went on the offense against terror and never looked back.

That's why I'm convinced people would not look askance at another Bush if we were in real jeopardy again.

No to the Bushes in the W.H. We don’t need any country club, establishment northeastern type there. We need someone more like Reagan.
