As unpopular as Bush was at the end of his second term, that’s no excuse for the Republicans to not come out and defend the 5% unemployment record that held up throughout most of his two terms.

YouTube President: At 1:45, Mr. Obama will answer questions submitted via YouTube during and after the State of the Union address last week. YouTube users voted for the questions they liked the best and Mr. Obama will answer a selection of the top-voted questions, according to the White House. The session will be streamed live on Youtube and Whitehouse.gov.

Are you kidding?? That would require a little spine.
And BTW, what genius invited the Boy President to that "retreat" last week so he could use it as a photo-op and an opportunity to push for "bipartisanship" (poll numbers UP among the braindead today), while our guys stood there looking dopey the whole while?
I'm getting so sick of this...I should probably just stay off the Internet for a couple of months.

It was bad news all around and not a good start for the week or month.

They will have to defend a bold proposal to take away some long-held federal tax breaks for fossil fuels and redirect the money toward “clean energy” programs. Orszag said the budget would “eliminate subsidies for fossil fuels” and invest $6 billion in clean energy projects. The proposal would cut tax preferences for oil, gas and coal companies, saving $40 billion dollars over the next decade, according to OMB.

I accidently saw a moment of it. Obama was talking about the old surpluses Bush inherited. I don’t believe there ever was a real surplus (and if there was, why did the govt have surplus tax monies?)

Guest on FOX news, Arthur Laffer says "We pay people NOT to work and TAX people who DO work. It shouldn't surprise anyone if we have a lot of people NOT WORKING!".
Laffer says a Flat Tax is what this country needs.

This is The presidents current communications template/outline for his what seems to be hourly communications for the masses:
1. Not my fault
2. Problem(s) more than anticipated.
3. Everyone needs to follow my lead or we are doomed.

It is a start. Should be a simple sales tax. Period.
Then fire the tax cheats at the IRS starting at the top.

I got up, glanced at the TV and saw Obama saying he came into office with a 1.3 trillion deficit.
Is this even true?
He’s always saying it.
He always forgets to mention the part about how he’s made things much worse.

He also forgets the part that the President doesn't set spending etc. It is Congress. And guess who had control of Congress since 2004...And who was in Congress voting for those deficits...
Don't get me wrong Bush wasn't near fiscally conservative enough, but the Dems (and Obama) controlled spending during that time, not Bush. I wish people would wake up to that fact and someone in the media would have the nuts to call him on the carpet on that. Fortunately for him, the MSM is just a subsidiary of Democrat Inc.
