Mayor Denounced For Saying Lancaster Is 'Growing a Christian Community' January 31, 2010
Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris drew criticism from a leading Muslim group today after saying in his annual State of the City address that the high desert town was growing a Christian community.
"We're growing a Christian community, and don't let anybody shy away from that, Parris told the audience of ministers gathered for his address.
I need [Lancaster residents] standing up and saying we're a Christian community, and we're proud of that," the mayor said.
The Greater Los Angeles area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations denounced the statement and said it plans to file a complaint about the mayor's remarks with the civil rights division of the U.S. Justice Department.
Elected officials should not use their public positions to impose their religious beliefs on others," said Hussam Ayloush, executive director of the Los Angeles chapter of CAIR.
The mayor, reached by telephone today, said his remarks did not intend to impose his faith on others, and he said he would make no apology.

No apology? GOOD.
Anytime CAIR throws a hissy-fit, it means we're really on the right track!
Parris needs to quote President Bill Clinton and tell the muzzies to just “Kiss it”.
“he said he would make no apology.”
I hope he hangs tough. He has nothing to apologize for. CAIR can sit and cry all they want.
muslems cannot be americans. Send them home. Fire the idiots that allowed them to come here which means - DO NOT RE-ELECT ANYONE. None deserve another term.
I'm happy to do that for him. It's up to him to turn that problem around and send them where they're wanted.
Oh, EFF OFF, already. You don't like what the mayor has to say, send a letter to the editor. The mayor hasn't violated your civil rights and you're only making your organization look ridiculous.
For a politician, having CAIR file a complaint against you is worth an extra five points in the polls minimum. If he can get Pelosi to chime in he should start thinking Governer.
Eric Holder and the Obama administration hve just found the town in which they plan to release the ex-Gitmo detainees, under their new “Our Diversity is Our Strength Program”. They’ll balance each Christian family of four with a Muzzie family of twelve.
And when they declare their "communities" here, no one will dare criticise them.
It’s about time we start protesting at CAIR facilities, sending e-mails, and in general telling them that THIS IS AMERICA and our freedom of speech includes describing our nation as a CHRISTIAN-JUDAO community - if they don’t want to be part, GO HOME! NOW! TODAY! NO MORE APOLOGIES....
don’t let anybody shy away from that
don’t let anybody shy away from that
don’t let anybody shy away from that
don’t let anybody shy away from that
don’t let anybody shy away from that
Don’t know what “brand” of Christendom the mayor belongs to, but CAIR’s response is typical. Here’s a dirty little secret Muslims don’t want us to know - muscular, aggressive Christianity, especially the evangelical/fundamentalist kind, scares the bejeebers out of them, because it makes converts so much faster than they do, and makes them even faster than Muslims can breed.
I suppose the time is coming when we’ll have to form enclaves to protect our own, with walled towns and cities to keep our the hordes — much as the Byzantines did in the Middle Ages, or the Knights Templar did in the era of the Crusades... No one else is going to defend this nation ultimately — no one will defend Christians in particular from the Politically Correct idiots and the Muslim extremists.
*ping*
Hey Muzzies, why mess with Lancaster when there is another dessert where YOU SHOULD GO BACK TO NOW!
And take your damned “moon religion” with you.
Just learned about the First Alien and Sedition Act of 1789. There really is nothing new under the sun.

CAIR, don’t like Christianity? Too bad. Keep pushing, and you will regret the blow back. Never again.
