The oil companies could even build some thermal siding onto the pipeline to contain the heat, and I'd bet the animal population would skyrocket, as well as plant life. Lots of creative things could be done with all that heat, which I guess is otherwise lost into the atmosphere.
Question is, would this placate environmental groups? Or are they stuck on stupid? -- (ie. 'environ-mentally retarded)

I will work with my colleagues to keep the Alaskan wilderness pristine and untouched. Honestly, I don't see the point in bothering to elect this alleged Republican. I'm not a third party guy, but I wouldn't vote for this clown.

I understand his ACU lifetime rating is approximately 55 which is abysmal. He has an F rating from the NRA. If this is the best the GOP can do, I'd prefer to have the democrat. The democrat can not be significantly worse than this leftist masquerading as a Republican.

Put yourself in our shoes here in IL, depending on what happens on Tuesday, we may have the choice between voting for this nimrod Kirk I'm in Illinois and I will not vote for Kirk, he's a stinking liberal and I swore off voting for liberals after McCain.

Palin should be involved working against this guy as the statement he and his “colleagues” have “kept the Alaska wilderness pristine and untouched”...as if the Alaskans wouldn’t....I found that rather insulting. Fools like this man have no concept that the Caribou et all are treasured by the Alaskan people....if for no other reason than they are a main staple of their diet. I am so sick of these know it all know nothings telling us whats what.

Please Illini, ditch this f*ing idiot.

Just a touch of Mascara. Sweet.

Hammer him in the primary; if he wins, vote for him in the general election.
No, I don’t like him. People who won’t drill are jackasses.

i have been north of the arctic circle, specifically devon island canada in the summer of 2000. it’s so desolate even the polar bears don’t bother. we can drill in ANWR without damageing the so-called pristine wasteland it is.
watermelons are the new mean.

the oil lays on top of a magma field and comes out of the ground at about 300 degrees!I have never heard this. I have heard that the oil needed to be heated to enable it to move through the pipeline and that is why the pipeline is elevated, to avoid melting the permafrost. Can you say more about this "magma field?"
To: Maelstorm
What a joke.
RMSP member
Norm Coleman Former RMSP member voted No to Drilling Anwr and lost to a lunatic.

I remain strongly opposed to drilling for oil in the ANWR.This is a statement by an ideologue with no common sense or concept of proportion. Sad.

I hear you, but if you don’t vote, it’s the same as letting ACORN steal a vote (or having one of Daleys dead relatives vote twice).
My plan is to vote for Patrick Hughes, but Kirk is up 53-18% in the latest poll, and he’s going to win it.
So we’ll get to choose between a RINO like Kirk and corrupt Obama buddy Alexi Giannoulias in November.
When crap meets crap, someone still has to win.

I have been up in the general vicinity of ANWAR, there is nothing there.
To: Maelstorm
He is an ass to oppose ANWR. Go for a conservative.
To: olezip
It should be up to Alaska whether there will be drilling in ANWR not the federal gubmint.

What one does in that case is let the people of IL decide without your input.
