Even if those numbers are accurate...just what happens to those jobs when the money runs out and the economy is still in the tank?

Hsnt it been worked out that these few jobs being stimulated are costing a couple of hundred thousand apiece?

How is that helping?

This is laughable and predictable. It shows people what lengths the low-life media whores will go to in order to build up the incompetent fool they helped put into office. Only problem is facts get in the way with so many people suffering.

What jobs were saved? Government jobs at various levels - until the money runs out. A few construction jobs repairing infrastructure - but what happens when the jobs are complete?
I haven’t heard of jobs being saved/created that actually produce a product or contribute to GNP.

“It does not tally jobs created indirectly through companies buying supplies for stimulus projects, people spending their tax cuts, increased unemployment benefits and the like.”
Spending my tax cut? Spending increased unemployment benefits? Not like unemployment benefits pay for a few nights out a month. I know my taxes were not cut. This article is a real reach. Talk about grasping at straws.

Taxpayer funded jobs are a net loss no matter how you look at it. There’s just no way around it unless those employed by the taxpayer are paying more in taxes than they earn.

CNN is a White House PR firm. Don’t believe anything you see on it.

Such efficiency! By their own figures they’ve spent $96,643 and allocated $332,828 for each job “funded.” What they’ve already spent can’t even include an entire year’s salary and benefits as we’ve only had a year of Porkulus and they didn’t “fund” all those jobs right away.

Most of the jobs are “saved” jobs. This means government ee’s at all levels.

How many of those “saved” jobs were for working on projects the government was going to do anyway?

What utter BS. Monday is a new month, and the Labor Department will be releasing January’s unemployment numbers on Friday. We’ve already seen anecdotal evidence that unemployment is continuing to climb, and January’s numbers will prove that.

Look for revisions to previous months as well. I don’t know what the tipping point is going to be, but we are getting close since the media has finally begun to talk about how phony these claims from the Administration are.

Governments don’t create jobs, they destroy them. Every attempt at creating or saving jobs directly, destroys 2x as many indirectly.

All this stimulus just adds to debt and taxes, causing people to hold on to their assets. Businesses harvest cash flow by deferring maintenance on physcial assets, shelving expansion plans, etc. Individuals and businesses hoarding cash.

Big government can’t comprehend that people react inversely to big government.

More government is the problem, not the solution.

In the Soviet Union the Communists there used to say farm tractor production is up, always up, yet, the people starved. Our Communists here, Obama, et al., say jobs are saved, job are created, yet, the people starve.
