Dr. Sowell has stated that the vast majority of the “poor” don’t stay in that category, but move up the economic ladder.
I’ll bet the vast majority of freepers were “poor” when they started, but pressed on with life and succeeded.
Secondly, the “poor” in this country live like kings compared to the truly poor people in other countries. U.S. “poor” have cars, TVs, cellphones, refridgerators, food, money, etc.

You're right. I had nothing when I started out, and thanks to a series of poor decisions, I still have most of it.
