Wait, according to the Tin Hat people at FR, this recall is a conspiracy to help GM.
Why would NHSTA approve this fix so quickly?
How can Toyota gas pedals all have the same problem in models ranging from compact Corollas to Tundra trucks?
I think that’s another diversion from the real issue, like the bogus floor mat claim.
I think the real problem will be in buggy electronics.
And that will be Toyota’s BIG problem, when it comes out they’ve known this for years.
That’s it. I’m sticking to manual windows, manual door locks, and manual transmissions. If it has remote starting or a start “button”, I don’t want it.
What sticky gas pedals? I have two of the cars under recall (2007s both), and I don't know what they're talking about. Neither vehicle has acted like "Christine" as yet. But maybe they're just lying in wait. . .

“Why would NHSTA approve this fix so quickly?”
Because, moron, the NHSTA is still controlled by Bush-operatives. Why do you think they still wear ties when they come into work? Hmmmm. Nice try...but we have it figured out.
Since when do the feds have to approve a fix???
Why do they need Federal government approval? Just more crap from the Left to keep us busy.
Can someone tell me why Toyota needs federal permission to fix their cars?
Same here. OTOH we removed the mats long before we were TOLD they were a problem.
Sounds to me like the feds are looking to take “credit” for this fix.
I guess so.
Bush operatives want Japan-Inc to take over American Industry. Sneaky bastards.
“Can someone tell me why Toyota needs federal permission to fix their cars?”
I was wondering about that too.
If you sell cars here they have to meet government safety regulations. Perhaps this fix has to be approved by the safety police.
That is why I posted this article..... since when do feds have to approve a fix?.. I do not know.

Yea, and they did it by making a Japanese company look bad. Brilliant. I’m glad you’re one of us now.
THey had to make them look bad so they could make them look good.
